Job summary

Manpowergroup Services India seeks a Safety Officer to ensure compliance with Environment, Health & Safety guidelines on Maharashtra & Gujarat sites. The candidate will prevent hazards on site and implement safety measures across high-rise, MEP, and metro construction projects.

Responsibilities include training staff, conducting risk assessments, site inspections, emergency drills, and incident investigations.

Qualifications

• BSc (Full Time) or Diploma or BE/BTech in Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering.
• 5–6 years of experience in construction/MEP/metro projects.
• Experience in risk assessment and safety training.
• Knowledge of safety legislation (e.g., BOCW Act).
• On-site safety management experience in high-rise or metro projects.

Responsibilities

• Establishes safety standards and policies as needed.
• Initiates and organizes EHS training of employees and workmen.
• Conducts risk assessments and enforces preventive measures.
• Inspects sites and personnel to identify issues (e.g. PPE violations).
• Trains and conducts emergency response drills and exercises.
• Conducts investigations of accidents and near-misses.
• Verifies tools and equipment are safe for use.

Job Summary

Safety Officer / Safety Engineer responsible for ensuring compliance with Environment, Health & Safety guidelines. The candidate must focus on prevention methods by implementing measures to minimize hazards on site, and should have the following years of experience in MEP, industrial, or metro construction work.

Position : Safety Officer

Role & responsibilities

• Establishes safety standards and policies as needed
• Initiate and organize EHS training of employees and workmen
• Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventive measures
• Inspect the site and the work of personnel to identify issues (e.g. PPE violations, etc.)
• Trains and carries out emergency response drills and exercises on how to manage emergency situations
• Conducts investigations of all accidents and near-misses
• Verifies that all tools and equipment are adequate and safe for use

Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

1. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.); Working knowledge of safety management information system
2. Excellent Communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics
3. In-depth knowledge of legislation (e.g. BOCW Act) and procedures
4. Experience in writing reports and conducting data analysis, and reporting statistics

Knowledge

Competent in managing Environment, Health & Safety related activities at the construction site(especially High Rise Project / Metro) with basic knowledge of legal requirements and other legislation

Preferred candidate profile

Candidates must be qualified B Sc.- Full Time / Diploma Or BE/Btech In Mechanical/Civil/Electrical Engineering

With Mini Experience 5 to 6 Years Experience only. Experience In Construction Project, High Raise Project, MEP Project, Industrial project, metro construction work & Oil and Gas
