Job summary

Tekskills Inc. seeks an experienced RF Planning & Optimization engineer for Chennai. You will work on 5G/LTE/VoLTE networks, performing outdoor planning, drive tests, and model tuning to meet key performance indicators.

With 8–12 years in RF planning, you will leverage Atoll and Mentum Planet, manage link budgets and capacity planning, and collaborate on LTE core interfaces and SIP signaling to deliver robust network performance.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of RF Planning experience for mobile networks.
• In-depth knowledge of planning and optimization for 5G/LTE/VoLTE.
• Hands-on with outdoor planning tools such as Atoll and Mentum Planet.
• Experience in link budget, model tuning and capacity planning.
• Familiarity with PCI, PRACH, TAC and multicarrier design.
• Experience with LTE core interfaces and protocols like S1 MME, S1 U, GTPv2c.

Responsibilities

• Plan and optimize RF networks for 5G/LTE/VoLTE to meet KPIs.
• Perform drive test post-processing and OSS operations with vendors.
• Tune models and perform capacity planning and offloading.
• Work with SIP/IMS signaling and LTE core interfaces for integration.

Responsibilities

• More than 8-12 years of relevant experience in RF Planning and Optimization.
• In-depth understanding and knowledge of Planning & Optimization for 5G/LTE/VoLTE networks.
• Hands-on experience with outdoor planning tools such as Atoll and Mentum Planet.
• Experience in link budget and model tuning.
• Capacity planning and offloading.
• Parameter planning (PCI, PRACH, TAC).
• Multicarrier design and analysis for TDD and FDD.
• RFDS creation, antenna design, RF specification creation.
• Experience with LTE core system interfaces and protocols such as S1 MME, ENB, PGW, SGW, S1 U, S6a, S11, S5/S8, Rx, NAS, S1 AP, RRC, GTPv2c, GTP U.
• Hands-on experience on drive test post-processing tools and OSS platforms with different vendors.
• Experience with SIP messages or IMS signaling.
• Responsible for all the KPIs such as Accessibility, Retainability, Avg LTE User Throughput and HOSR.
