Detailed Job Description

As an RF Optimization Engineer at Aarav Tech Solutions, you will take full technical ownership of cluster performance tuning, KPI metric evaluation, and radio network parameter optimization across high-density urban and suburban markets. Your day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing core performance indicators (RRC setup success rates, E-RAB drop rates, handover failure rates), executing antenna tilt and azimuth adjustments, and implementing advanced layer management and mobility parameter changes. You will utilize sophisticated post-processing and planning software (MapInfo, QGIS, Atoll, TEMS Discovery, XCAP, Actix) to diagnose interference patterns, optimize neighbor lists, and improve network capacity for major operators such as Jio, Airtel, and VI. Furthermore, you will collaborate with cross-functional field teams, prepare comprehensive performance benchmarking reports, and ensure compliance with strict service level agreements.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize 4G LTE and 5G NR radio network performance across high-density metropolitan clusters.
• Monitor, evaluate, and troubleshoot key radio frequency performance indicators including RRC Success Rate, E-RAB Drop Rate, Handover Success Rate, and Throughput.
• Perform targeted parameter tuning and optimization including Cell Individual Offset (CIO), A3/A5 handover thresholds, layer management, and mobility balancing.
• Conduct antenna design and optimization through mechanical/electrical tilt adjustments and azimuth re-orientation.
• Utilize advanced radio planning and post-processing software tools such as MapInfo, QGIS, Atoll, TEMS Discovery, XCAP, and Actix.
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints, coverage drops, and high-interference anomalies using drive test logs and trace analysis.
• Collaborate with RF planning teams and field optimization crews to execute cluster tuning and verify post-launch performance gains.
• Prepare detailed executive performance reports, KPI trend analyses, and cluster optimization summary deliverables.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering (B.Tech ECE), Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 2 to 5 years of professional hands-on experience in RF network optimization, cluster tuning, and KPI analysis.
• Deep practical proficiency in 4G and 5G RF optimization principles, mobility management, and parameter tuning.
• Strong expertise analyzing complex KPI metrics (RRC Success, E-RAB Drop, Handover, Call Setup Success Rate).
