Role & responsibilities:

A. Revenue Accounting and Reporting

• Perform revenue accounting and reporting activities for assigned business segments.
• Validate billed and unbilled revenue, revenue adjustments, credit notes, and provisions.
• Prepare monthly revenue schedules, MIS, and supporting schedules.

B. Reconciliation and Data Validation

• Perform monthly reconciliations between billing systems, revenue reports, MIS, and the General Ledger (GL).
• Identify and resolve mismatches between source systems and financial records.
• Maintain reconciliation workings and ensure timely closure of open items.
• Perform cross-checks to identify revenue leakage, incorrect accounting, and reporting discrepancies.

C. Month-End Closure

• Complete accounting activities within month-end closing timelines.
• Prepare and validate journal entries, accruals, provisions, reversals.
• Ensure proper accounting treatment of revenue, receivables, unbilled revenue, and deferred revenue, wherever applicable.
• Review outstanding reconciliation items and coordinate with stakeholders for timely resolution.

D. Accounts Receivable and Ageing

• Review customer outstanding balances and receivables ageing reports.
• Validate billed and unbilled debtors and investigate differences.
• Bad debt provisioning and ageing-based analysis as per company policy.
• Coordinate with Business and Accounts Receivable teams to resolve outstanding items and reporting issues.
