Job summary

Allegis Global Solutions in Pune, India, seeks a Revenue Recognition Specialist to implement controls and evaluate actions for proper revenue recording, including bookings and billings. You will coordinate with process owners, review transactions, and support month-end close with revenue reconciliation and management reporting.

The role requires ASC 606 knowledge, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience with at least 2 years revenue recognition experience.
• Must be an advanced user of Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, xlookups, filtering) and other Microsoft Office products.
• Must be able to work in a high paced team environment.
• Must be willing to learn and 'can do' attitude.
• Must be proactive and a team player.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Must be able to independently work on ad hoc projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with various process owners to obtain supporting documents for revenue transactions
• Responsible for reviewing revenue transactions and preparing revenue packages
• Responsible for providing technical assistance to regional controllers on revenue accounting and implications of non-standard contractual terms
• Advise other organizations regarding revenue recognition issues
• Ensure revenue accounting policies are documented and applied consistently on a worldwide basis
• Participate in and/or lead company-wide projects that impact revenue accounting and analysis
• Undertake various quarter-end and year-end review tasks during the close process
• Maintain SOX compliance for all revenue related controls
• Maintain deferred revenue and deferred cogs and responsible for monthly closing activities
• In depth knowledge of ASC 606.

Summary:

Implements controls and evaluates actions required for compliance with the companys revenue recognition accounting process, including the bookings and billings process. Completes all required month-end close activities including revenue reconciliation and management reporting. Work with legal and sales personnel in reviewing revenue contracts to ensure adherence to company policies and resolves any revenue issues. Follows control procedures and interacts with audit or other functions in the approval of non-standard contractual terms, including discounts, additional performance obligations, and future commitments. Performs significant analysis to ensure compliance with company policy and proper revenue recording.
