JOB DESCRIPTION
The Revenue Accounting Lead will oversee the organization's Revenue accounting, Accounts receivable functions, Land and JDA Accounting ensuring that financial transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner. He/she will also provide guidance and support to the Accounts and Payments team and work closely with the Finance department to improve financial processes and procedures.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee the organization's Revenue accounting (including Land accounting, JDA accounting, TDR accounting), and Customer Accounting (Accounts receivable functions).
- Oversee and ensure accurate provisioning of Claims and Compensation for ongoing litigations in discussion with Legal team.
- Ensure accurate and timely end-to-end Brokerage accounting.
- Ensure revenue maximization by driving business teams for collections and revenue recognition as per targets.
- Evaluation of Land exchange transactions and carry out adequate financial due diligence in the process.
- Ensure timely month closing and reporting to Dubai with the required submissions on time.
- Drive major automation projects within Revenue functions and lead major transformation initiatives.
- Continuously improve financial processes and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Review financial reports, including revenue margin report, customer advance, brokerage ageing, accounts receivable aging reports, etc. and provide insights and recommendations to the Finance department and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all RERA and DTCP regulations and standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions, including receipts, invoices, and payments.
- Co-ordination and completion of audits (Statutory, Internal audits, Group audits, IFC testing)
- Work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders to improve and automate the financial processes and procedures.
MUST HAVE
- CA is a must. Real estate revenue accounting experience is preferred.
- 10-12 years of experience in Accounts receivable/Revenue accounting function, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Revenue recognition and Land accounting experience in Real estate will be a strong preference.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations (RERA/DTCP).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead & coach the team effectively.
- Familiarity with accounting software (Oracle Fusion or similar) is preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
