Job summary

Silicon Safepack Pvt Ltd in Pune's Waki unit is seeking an organized Returnable SCM & Operations Coordinator to manage asset turnaround data and local milk-runs. You will own the utilization and trip planning of our in-house 709 commercial vehicle and coordinate local hired vehicles.

Key tasks include auditing trip logs and fuel, tracking regional pallet movements, and ensuring timely pickup and return of empty assets from client sites.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in local fleet operations or returnable packaging logistics.
• Direct experience managing commercial transport vehicles (like Tata 709) and transit paperwork.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and entry-level ERP tools.
• Availability to work on-site at Waki, Pune with early-morning delivery rhythms.

Responsibilities

• Maximize the daily utilization of the in-house 709 vehicle and plan optimized routes.
• Book, negotiate, and coordinate short-haul local trucks and tempos for dispatches.
• Audit daily trip logs, log fuel consumption, and verify vendor invoices against deliveries.

• Coordinate inbound asset inspection, repair, and re-staging with the production floor.

Executive Summary

We are a specialized manufacturing provider engineering custom material handling assets for high-tier ASRS warehouse automation systems, automotive components, and returnable industrial lines. We are seeking a highly organized, cost-focused Returnable SCM & Operations Coordinator for our Waki unit. This role focuses on controlling asset turnaround data and managing local milk-runs. You will completely own the utilization and trip planning of our in-house 709 commercial vehicle and manage local hired vehicles to ensure smart steel pallets, cages, and MHTs flow smoothly between our plant and regional customer sites.

Core Areas of Ownership

• 709 Vehicle Utilization: Maximize the daily running efficiency of our in-house 709 truck. Plan optimized route structures, minimize empty return trips, and track driver compliance.
• Local Vehicle Sourcing: Book, negotiate, and coordinate short-haul local trucks and tempos for immediate regional dispatches.
• Trip Sheet & Fuel Audits: Audit daily trip logs, log fuel consumption metrics for the 709 vehicle, and verify local vendor freight invoices against actual deliveries before sharing them with finance.
• Regional Loop Tracking: Monitor the physical movement of returnable steel pallets and custom trolleys across regional automotive clusters and warehouses.
• Turnaround Management: Follow up aggressively with local client dispatch desks to ensure our empty assets are gathered, loaded, and brought back to Waki without delays.
• Inward Inspection Pipeline: Coordinate the arrival of returned assets with the plant's production floor so they can be quickly inspected, repaired, and re-staged for active use.
• Material Feed Coordination: Work with the purchasing desk to schedule local vendor deliveries of steel profiles and hardware precisely when the production floor needs them.
• Daily SCM Operations Tracking: Maintain a clean Excel/ERP dashboard tracking daily 709 vehicle trips, regional asset balances at client sites, and inbound raw material timelines.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

• Domain Experience: 2–5 years of experience handling local fleet operations, dispatch coordination, stores-in-charge routines, or returnable packaging logistics within an industrial setup.
• Vehicle Coordination Expertise: Direct experience managing commercial transport vehicles (like Tata 709 or similar local trucks), tracking drivers, and handling local transit paperwork.
• Software Competency: Strong command of Microsoft Excel and entry-level ERP tools for data entry, trip logging, and tracking inventory balances.
• Availability & Location: Must stay or be ready to work permanently on-site at Waki, Pune, matching the early-morning delivery rhythms of the manufacturing sector.
