Role Description

The Retail Store Manager is a full‑time, on‑site role based at our Kochi location. This role is responsible for overseeing daily store operations, building and following KPI's and other analytical reports, ensuring visual merchandising meet brand standards, and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and their pets. The manager will lead, schedule, and support store team members, provide coaching and feedback, and foster a service‑first culture aligned with Paw & Kin’s values. Key responsibilities include managing inventory and stock levels, monitoring sales performance, implementing retail loss prevention measures, and resolving customer concerns in a timely, empathetic manner. The role also involves collaborating with leadership on local promotions, gathering customer feedback, and continuously improving the in‑store experience.

Qualifications

• Strong customer‑focused skills, including Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction, with the ability to create a warm, supportive experience for pets and their parents.
• Effective Communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers, team members, and leadership clearly and professionally.
• Proven Store Management experience in a retail environment, including team supervision, scheduling, and daily operations oversight.
• Knowledge of Retail Loss Prevention practices, including monitoring inventory, reducing shrinkage, and implementing store policies.
• Passion for animals and pet care is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work on‑site full time in Kochi, including weekends, holidays, and peak retail periods as needed.
• Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills, with comfort using basic POS systems and retail software.
• Preferred: Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business, retail management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
