Job summary

JustDogs in India is seeking a store operations professional to oversee end-to-end in-store activities with a strong focus on customer experience and sales execution. The role requires comfort around pets, hands-on involvement on the floor, and ownership of inventory, spa coordination, and local deliveries.

You will drive customer engagement, manage stock and grooming appointments, and support team members to maintain SOPs and high service standards on-site.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in retail/store operations (pet industry preferred but not mandatory).
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Comfortable handling and interacting with pets; basic understanding of inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality in-store experience; engage pet parents with product guidance and drive conversion.
• Ensure daily store readiness including opening/closing checks, hygiene, and product displays; monitor billing accuracy and basic reporting.
• Manage stock levels, replenishment, and ordering from central warehouse/vendors; track fast-moving SKUs and shrinkage.
• Coordinate grooming/spa appointments; work with groomers for smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate and track local deliveries; ensure timely dispatch, order accuracy, and clear customer communication.
• Assist Store Manager with staff supervision, shift planning, and training on customer handling and product knowledge.

Responsible for end-to-end store operations with a strong focus on customer experience, sales execution, and operational discipline. The role requires comfort around pets, hands-on involvement on the floor, and ownership of inventory, spa coordination, and local deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Experience & Sales

• Deliver high-quality in-store experience; engage pet parents with relevant product guidance
• Drive conversion, upselling, and cross-selling across food, treats, grooming, and accessories
• Handle customer queries, complaints, and service recovery independently
• Build repeat customer relationships and support retention initiatives

2. Store Operations

• Ensure daily store readiness: opening/closing checks, VM standards, hygiene, and product display
• Monitor billing accuracy, cash handling, and basic reporting
• Support execution of campaigns, in-store events, and promotions

3. Inventory Management

• Manage stock levels, replenishment planning, and ordering from central warehouse/vendors
• Conduct regular audits and ensure minimal shrinkage/expiry losses
• Track fast-moving SKUs and ensure availability of key products
• Manage grooming/spa appointment bookings and schedules
• Coordinate with groomers for smooth service delivery
• Ensure hygiene, safety, and customer satisfaction for all spa services

5. Home Delivery & Local Operations

• Coordinate and track local deliveries from store
• Ensure timely dispatch, order accuracy, and customer communication
• Handle basic logistics coordination with delivery personnel

6. Team Support

• Assist Store Manager in staff supervision and shift planning
• Train team members on customer handling and product knowledge
• Maintain discipline and ensure adherence to SOPs

Candidate Profile

• 2–4 years of experience in retail/store operations (pet industry preferred but not mandatory)
