Job summary

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research and development activities for APIs, pharmaceutical intermediates, and specialty chemicals.
• Perform laboratory-scale synthesis, chemical reactions, and experimental trials.
• Develop and optimize chemical processes to improve yield, purity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Work on reaction parameters, including temperature, reaction time, solvent selection, pH, and reagent quantities.
• Conduct process development and assist in scaling up laboratory processes to pilot or production scale.
• Monitor reaction progress and coordinate with the Quality Control (QC) team for analytical testing.
• Interpret analytical results using techniques such as HPLC, GC, TLC, and other relevant analytical methods.
• Prepare and maintain laboratory records, experimental observations, batch reports, and technical documentation.
• Troubleshoot process-related issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Follow laboratory safety procedures, chemical handling protocols, and applicable environmental requirements.
• Coordinate with production, QC, and QA teams to ensure smooth technology transfer and consistent product quality.
• Research new chemical processes, raw materials, and methods to improve existing products and develop new products.
