Job summary

Corey Organics in Visakhapatnam, India, is seeking a senior R&D leader to drive research and development for intermediates and APIs, ensuring innovation, compliance and timely project delivery aligned with business strategy.

You will supervise chemists, analysts and technical staff, collaborate with QA/QC, production and regulatory affairs, and maintain meticulous experimental records while identifying new molecules and process improvements to strengthen the product pipeline.

• Maintain detailed records of experiments, project reports, and regulatory submissions.
• Identify new molecules, intermediates, and process improvements to strengthen the product pipeline.
• Ensure adherence to FDA and local regulatory guidelines.

Role & responsibilities

• To lead research and development activities focused on intermediates and APIs, ensuring innovation, compliance, and timely delivery of projects aligned with business strategy.
• Supervise chemists, analysts, and technical staff; foster collaboration and innovation.
• Work with QA/QC, production, and regulatory affairs teams to ensure smooth commercialization.
• Maintain detailed records of experiments, project reports, and regulatory submissions.
• Identify new molecules, intermediates, and process improvements to strengthen the product pipeline.
• Ensure adherence to FDA and local regulatory guidelines.

Design robust, cost-effective, and scalable synthetic routes for APIs

• To perform laboratory synthesis, analysis, and process development of intermediates and APIs under the guidance of senior scientists and managers.
• Conduct experiments for intermediates and APIs, including reaction monitoring, purification, and characterization.
• Assist in developing scalable and cost-effective synthetic routes
• Record experimental data, maintain lab notebooks, and prepare technical reports.
• Follow WHO GMP, GMP and safety protocols in all laboratory activities.
• Participate in pilot plant trials and technology transfer activities.
• Work closely with R&D team members, QA/QC, and production staff.

Preferred candidate profile

candidate must be fluent in Telugu, English with the ability to effectively communicate with pharma company professionals, clients, and internal team persons.
