Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy in Vadodara invites applications for an R&D Trainee to support catalyst and adsorbent development projects. The role involves hands-on lab work in a fixed bed catalyst testing unit and data collection.

The position requires a Diploma in Chemical Engineering with 0–3 years of experience (1 year preferred). Freshers may be considered if capable; candidates must be willing to work in shifts and adhere to EHS and IMS guidelines.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Chemical Engineering is required.
• 0-3 years of experience; 1 year experience with fixed bed catalyst testing preferred; freshers may be considered if candidates are unavailable.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate performance of developmental and commercial catalysts/adsorbents.
• Operate fixed bed catalyst/adsorbent test units and analyze products via Gas Chromatographs.
• Maintain records of daily experimental work and report to supervisor/stakeholders.
• Coordinate with personnel for upkeep of analytical equipment and fixed bed reactors.
• Coordinate with team for 24-hour operation of Reactor Unit.
• Willingness to work in shifts for reactor operation and monitoring.

Job Objective

Support developmental projects related to catalysts and adsorbents.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate performance of developmental and commercial catalysts/adsorbent materials.
• Operate fixed bed catalyst/adsorbent test units and analyze reaction products using Gas Chromatographs.
• Maintain proper records of daily experimental work and report periodically to supervisor/stakeholders.
• Coordinate with concerned personnel for upkeep of analytical equipment, test units, and fixed bed reactors.
• Coordinate with team members and other departments for 24-hour operation of Reactor Unit.
• Willingness to work in shifts for reactor operation and monitoring.

Other Skills

• Hands-on work with minimal backup support expected after 36 months of training.

Specific Skills

• Knowledge of catalysis/process engineering is preferable.
• Comply with EHS (Environment / Health & Safety) guidelines.
• Participate in company initiatives such as 5S and IMS.
