Job summary

Rupeek is seeking a Relationship Manager - Gold Appraiser in Mumbai to drive customer acquisition, manage relationships, and perform gold appraisal end-to-end. The role requires strong sales skills and practical knowledge of gold purity assessment and jewellery valuation.

The ideal candidate will handle KYC, documentation, and coordinations with internal teams to ensure smooth loan disbursal while meeting monthly targets. Local travel in Mumbai may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduation is mandatory.
• 1-4 years of relevant experience in gold loans, gold appraisal, banking, NBFC, jewellery, sales, or financial services preferred.
• Hands-on experience in gold purity testing/appraisal will be an added advantage.
• Candidates with experience in customer-facing sales or relationship management roles are preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good knowledge of Hindi and Marathi; English communication skills preferred.
• Willingness to travel locally within Mumbai for customer visits, where required.
• Comfortable working in a target-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Acquire new customers and generate business for Rupeek's gold loan products.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Visit customers for gold appraisal and loan-related activities.
• Accurately assess gold jewellery for purity, weight, quality, and valuation per Rupeek's processes.
• Conduct checks and ensure accurate gold appraisal documentation.
• Explain Rupeek's gold loan products, repayment terms, interest rates, and processes to customers.
• Complete customer KYC and required documentation in accordance with company policies.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth loan disbursal and customer service.
• Achieve assigned monthly sales and business targets.
• Generate leads through references, customer relationships, local market activity, and other approved channels.
• Follow up with customers for renewals, repeat business, and other relevant products/services.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a high level of customer service, professionalism, and integrity.

Preferred Industry Background

Candidates from gold loan companies, NBFCs, banks, jewellery companies, or financial services organizations will be preferred.

Experience with gold loan players such as Muthoot Finance, Manappuram Finance, IIFL Finance, Federal Bank, or similar organizations would be an advantage.
