Job summary

Synpulse’s Centre of Excellence invites a motivated early-career professional to join the new Reinsurance Operations Team supporting a UK-based specialist (Re) Insurance client. You will assist with analysis, reporting, and controls to ensure effective management of reinsurance activities.

With 2–3 years of experience, you will develop skills in reinsurance accounting, data handling, and cross-functional collaboration with Claims, Finance, and Operations teams while building a long-term career

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in insurance/reinsurance or a similar finance role.
• Strong English skills (C1+).
• Exposure to reinsurance data and reporting tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support the administration of ceded reinsurance programs across Facultative, Proportional treaties, and Excess of Loss contracts.
• Assist in managing the credit control process, including monitoring outstanding premium and claims balances.
• Communicate with brokers and stakeholders; support reporting on aged debt.
• Participate in recurring forums such as the Credit Control Committee.
• Help maintain reinsurance data and systems: enter contract data into systems; process and allocate transactions through the LORS platform.
• Collaborate across teams: respond to reinsurer queries; work with Claims, Finance, and Operations.
• Support continuous improvement: improve data accuracy and controls; contribute ideas to efficiency.
• Assist with maintaining procedures and user documentation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Process and allocate transactions through theLORS platform(Lloyd’s Outward Reinsurance Scheme)
    • Investigate and resolve unmatched or outstanding items
    • Prepare statements of behalf of Ceded Ri for recurring Committee meetings
    • Contribute to accounting and reporting activities:
      • Support quarterly and annual processes for proportional treaties
      • Prepare data and materials for internal committees
      • Assist with issuing payment instructions and reconciliations
• Collaborate across teams:
  • Respond to reinsurer queries
  • Work with Claims, Finance, and Operations teams
  • Work with internal controls and audit functions as required
  • Ensure claim movements are correctly ceded
• Support continuous improvement:
  • Help improve data accuracy and controls
  • Contribute ideas to enhance efficiency and processes
  • Assist with maintaining procedures and user documentation
