Job summary

ABB Motion in Bengaluru seeks a seasoned Logistics Manager to lead the IMEA region's logistics strategy. You will oversee transport services, supplier management, and cost optimization, ensuring safe, compliant and reliable operations across the region.

You will own road freight sourcing, contract implementation, and performance management while collaborating with internal stakeholders and regional teams to drive continuous improvement and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain, engineering, transportation, or related field.
• Experience in transportation and logistics sourcing and supplier management.
• Solid understanding of logistics operations, cost models, and performance metrics.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Analytical and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own regional road freight sourcing activities including RFQs, supplier selection and contract implementation.
• Track savings, drive productivity and manage supplier performance for cost-efficient logistics.
• Manage supplier onboarding, compliance, and regional stakeholder relations.
• Support global transportation category initiatives with regional market insights.
• Resolve supplier and operational issues to ensure service continuity.

This Position reports to: Head of Trade & Logistics

Your role and responsibilities:

Manage and support the development and execution of the Motion India, Middle East & Africa (IMEA) logistics strategy, ensuring safe, compliant, reliable, and cost-effective logistics operations across the region.

Scope includes transportation and related logistics services, with responsibility for supplier management, sourcing activities, service performance, business continuity, and cost optimization.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Category Ownership & Sourcing Execution-Own regional road freight sourcing activities, including RFQs, supplier selection, carrier nominations, negotiations, and contract implementation.
• Cost & Performance Management-Track savings, drive productivity initiatives, and manage supplier performance to deliver cost-efficient and reliable logistics services.
• Supplier & Stakeholder Management-Manage supplier onboarding, compliance, and operational performance while serving as the primary regional contact for logistics providers and internal stakeholders.
• Global Category Support-Support global transportation category initiatives through regional market intelligence, lane data, supplier insights, and implementation support.
• Operational Support-Resolve supplier and operational issues to ensure service continuity, compliance, and business performance.

Qualifications for the role:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Transportation, or a related field
• Experience in transportation and logistics sourcing and supplier management.
• Good understanding of logistics operations, cost models, financial metrics, and performance management.
• Well-developed methodological, digital, commercial, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Tactical and strategic thinking with a continuous improvement mindset.
