Job summary

Lumax World in India seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineering leader to drive standardization, capacity optimization, and capital projects across regional plants. You will guide cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and implement strategic expansion plans.

The role requires a strong background in Lean, Kaizen, and capacity analysis, and the ability to mentor multiple plants while aligning with global standards and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical engineering with leadership experience.
• 15+ years in manufacturing engineering with managerial experience.
• Experience in CAPEX budgeting and plant optimization.

Responsibilities

• Upgradation of old plant facilities through standardization and brown field projects.
• Conduct capacity studies and establish MOST norms to improve plant capacity utilization.
• Develop and implement global industrialization standards.
• Implement layout improvements and space-saving projects to optimize material flows.
• Prepare manufacturing teams for new product technology adoptions with Design.
• Lead CAPEX budgeting, planning, and resource allocation for equipment upgrades.
• Drive automation and advanced manufacturing technology across regional plants.
• Establish SOPs in line with global standards to ensure built-in quality.
• Develop regional manufacturing strategies meeting customer expectations.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Upgradation of old plant facilities through standardization and brown field projects
• Conduct capacity studies & establish MOST norms to improve plant capacity utilization
• Develop and implement global industrialization standards
• Implement layout improvements and space-saving projects to optimize plant material flows and prepare for future expansions
• Work closely with Design function to prepare in advance plant manufacturing teams for new product technology adoptions
• Manage regional capital expenditure (CAPEX) planning, budgets, and resource allocation for equipment installation and facility upgrades.
• Lead automation and advanced manufacturing technology deployment projects across the regional plants.
• Establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in line with global standards to ensure built in quality
• Develop regional manufacturing strategies meeting the customers expectations

Experience-

• 15+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with prior experience in a leadership or managerial capacity

Qualification-

• BE/B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical

Skills-

• Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, automation, Kaizen, Karakuri, Lean principles, and capacity analysis, Strong ability to lead, mentor, and influence teams across different plants

Specific Requirement-

• Capital expenditure (CAPEX) budget planning, Layout and green/brown field project execution, Tech savy, Automotive components industry exposure preferably with automotive lighting exposure
