Qualifications

  • 10+ years of post-qualification experience in Finance and Commercial roles.
  • Minimum 2 years in a regional leadership role, preferably in FMCG, Pharma, or Manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in SAP (S/4HANA) and related financial systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead annual operating plan (AOP) and regional budgeting.
  • Perform monthly variance analysis and provide actionable insights to regional heads.
  • Evaluate CAPEX for regional expansion and new production lines.
  • Oversee order-to-cash lifecycle and reduce DSO; manage credit risk.
  • Vet and negotiate high-value regional contracts with vendors and large clients.
  • Lead regional S&OP cycle and align sales, supply, and budget.
  • Ensure GST, TDS, and Income Tax compliance; maintain robust internal controls.
  • Drive KPIs like net revenue, EBITDA, and working capital efficiency.

Job description

The Regional Finance & Commercial Manager is a strategic business partner to the Regional Leadership Team. This role is responsible for driving the region's financial health, ensuring commercial excellence, and leading the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process to synchronize demand, supply, and financial outcomes. You will ensure that regional growth is profitable, compliant, and operationally efficient.

Key Responsibilities:
A. Strategic Finance & Business Partnering
  • Annual Operating Plan (AOP) Lead the regional budgeting process, ensuring alignment with corporate long-term strategy.
  • Performance Management: Conduct monthly variance analysis (Actual vs. Budget) and provide actionable insights to regional heads to correct performance slippages.
  • Decision Support: Evaluate capital expenditure (CAPEX) for regional expansion, new production lines, or warehouse setups
B. . Commercial Excellence & Working Capital
  • Pricing & Profitability Manage regional pricing frameworks, trade schemes, and distributor margins to protect the bottom line.
  • Order-to-Cash (O2C):Oversee the accounts receivable lifecycle; drive initiatives to reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO)and manage credit risk.
  • Contract Management: Vet and negotiate high-value regional contracts with vendors, logistics partners, and large B2B clients.
C. Integrated Business Planning (IBP) & S&OP
  • Consensus Leadership: Lead the regional S&OP cycle. Act as the neutral arbitrator to align Sales (Demand), Supply Chain (Capacity), and Finance (Budget) into one consensus
  • Identify gaps between current market trends and the AOP. Propose interventions (e.g., promotions or inventory shifts) to ensure the region hits its financial targets.
D. Statutory Compliance & Controls
  • Taxation: Ensure 100% compliance with GST, TDS,and Income Tax regulations for the region.
  • Internal Controls: Maintain a robust control environment to prevent revenue leakage in sales, logistics, and inventory management.
  • Audit Management: Lead the region through statutory, internal, and tax audits with zero major observations.
E. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Net Revenue & EBITDA: Delivery of regional financial targets.
  • Forecast Accuracy (FA):Reduction in variance between the IBP plan and actual regional sales.
  • Working Capital Efficiency: Specific targets for DSO and Inventory Turns.
  • Inventory Health: Reduction in SLO Slow-moving and Obsolete) stock.
  • Compliance Score:100% on-time filing and zero statutory penalties.
Job Specifications:
