Job summary

Orcapod Consulting Services Private Limited in Chennai is seeking an Asst Manager - RtoR to lead month-end close activities and supervise a team. The role requires strong SAP knowledge, Blackline experience, and advanced Excel/Power BI skills, plus proactive communication with management and stakeholders.

You will ensure accurate GL reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and timely financial reporting while driving process improvements and meeting SLAs.

Qualifications

• CA or related professional qualification.
• Team handling experience is a must.
• Strong understanding of month close accounting.
• Expert knowledge of SAP and other tools like Blackline.
• Good hands-on experience on Microsoft Excel/ PPT/ Power BI.
• Proactive communication with stakeholders and management.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with management and peers.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for Month close processes; review of journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
• Oversee policy/procedure adherence and guide team accordingly.
• Prepare audit schedules and coordinate with auditors as required.
• Drive KPI improvements in Record to Report area and ensure SLA/KPIs are met.
• Lead productivity, process transformation, and efficiency initiatives.

Qualification & experience

• CA

1. Team handling Exp is must
2. Subject matter expert with strong understanding of month close accounting
3. Expert knowledge of SAP and other tools like Blackline etc.
4. Must have good hands-on experience on Microsoft Excel/PPT/Power BI
5. Requires a proactive approach and verbal / written communication.
6. Should have strong interpersonal skill to interact with Management, Stakeholder, and peers effectively. 00A0
7. Ability to communicate and document problems, resolutions, and action plans.

Key responsibilities

• Accountable for Month close processes Review of Journal entry preparation, general ledger account reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, intercompany accounting, cash & bank accounting, financial reporting etc.

1. Responsible for guiding the team on matters related to policy and procedures.
2. Prepare audit schedule and coordination with the auditors, as required.
3. Drive business metric improvement in Record to report area
4. Responsible for delivering on SLA/KPIs
5. Responsible for driving productivity & process transformation & efficiencies by generating & executing ideas.
