Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking a Civil Execution Front Line Supervisor to supervise day-to-day civil construction activities on high-rise residential projects in Chennai. This role requires coordinating with skilled workers and subcontractors to ensure safety and timely completion.

You will verify drawings, specs and method statements, monitor manpower and productivity, and resolve sequencing issues with formwork, reinforcement, MEP and finishing teams.

Qualifications

• 0–4 years of experience in civil construction.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day civil construction activities for high-rise residential projects.
• Guide and monitor workmen/subcontractors for masonry, plastering, screeding, waterproofing, tiling, flooring and other civil works.
• Ensure execution is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, method statements, quality standards and project requirements.
• Monitor manpower deployment, productivity and activity-wise targets to achieve planned progress.
• Coordinate with formwork, reinforcement, MEP and finishing teams to ensure proper sequencing of activities and avoid clashes, delays and rework.
• Check line, level, alignment, dimensions and workmanship during execution and ensure timely rectification of quality observations.
• Ensure proper availability and utilization of materials, tools and equipment required for assigned activities.
• Assist in daily planning, progress tracking, quantity measurements, inspections and reporting of completed works.
• Identify site constraints and execution issues and coordinate with the concerned engineer for timely resolution.
• Ensure strict adherence to EHS requirements, housekeeping and safe working practices by all workmen under supervision.
