Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Chennai is seeking a Civil Execution Front Line Supervisor to oversee day-to-day civil construction activities for high-rise residential projects, ensuring works are completed safely and on schedule.

You will guide workmen and subcontractors in masonry, plastering, screeding, waterproofing, tiling, flooring and other civil/finishing tasks while ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day civil construction activities for high-rise residential projects, ensuring planned works are completed safely and as per schedule.
• Guide and monitor workmen/subcontractors for activities including masonry, plastering, screeding, waterproofing, tiling, flooring and other civil/finishing works.

Responsibilities

• Ensure execution is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, method statements, quality standards and project requirements.
• Monitor manpower deployment, productivity and activity-wise targets to achieve planned progress and floor/tower cycle requirements.
• Coordinate with formwork, reinforcement, MEP and finishing teams to ensure proper sequencing of activities and avoid clashes, delays and rework.
• Check line, level, alignment, dimensions and workmanship during execution and ensure timely rectification of quality observations.
• Ensure proper availability and utilization of materials, tools and equipment required for assigned activities.
• Assist in daily planning, progress tracking, quantity measurements, inspections and reporting of completed works.
• Identify site constraints and execution issues and coordinate with the concerned engineer for timely resolution.
• Ensure strict adherence to EHS requirements, housekeeping and safe working practices by all workmen under supervision.
