Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking a site supervisor to oversee day-to-day civil construction activities for high-rise residential projects in Chennai. You will ensure works are completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with drawings and specifications.

The role requires coordinating with masonry, plastering, screeding, waterproofing, tiling and finishing trades, managing manpower, materials and equipment, and maintaining quality and EHS standards on site.

Qualifications

• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day civil construction activities for high-rise residential projects.
• Guide and monitor workmen and subcontractors for masonry, plastering, screeding and finishing works.
• Ensure execution per drawings, specifications, method statements and quality standards.
• Monitor manpower deployment and productivity to meet progress targets.
• Coordinate with formwork, reinforcement, MEP and finishing teams to avoid clashes.

Responsibilities

• Inspect line, level, alignment and workmanship during execution.
• Ensure availability and utilization of materials, tools and equipment.
• Assist in daily planning, progress tracking and reporting of completed works.

Job Description

Supervise and coordinate day-to-day civil construction activities for high-rise residential projects, ensuring planned works are completed safely and as per schedule.

Guide and monitor workmen/subcontractors for activities including masonry, plastering, screeding, waterproofing, tiling, flooring and other civil/finishing works.

Ensure execution is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, method statements, quality standards and project requirements.

Monitor manpower deployment, productivity and activity-wise targets to achieve planned progress and floor/tower cycle requirements.

Coordinate with formwork, reinforcement, MEP and finishing teams to ensure proper sequencing of activities and avoid clashes, delays and rework.

Check line, level, alignment, dimensions and workmanship during execution and ensure timely rectification of quality observations.

Ensure proper availability and utilization of materials, tools and equipment required for assigned activities.

Assist in daily planning, progress tracking, quantity measurements, inspections and reporting of completed works.

Identify site constraints and execution issues and coordinate with the concerned engineer for timely resolution.

Ensure strict adherence to EHS requirements, housekeeping and safe working practices by all workmen under supervision.
