Job summary

HDFC Bank is seeking a Personal Banker at the Retail Branch Banking level to manage the Classic portfolio and acquire new customers. The role focuses on deepening relationships through cross-selling and delivering exceptional service to retain customers and maximize wallet share.

You will handle account openings, promote direct banking channels, and support KYC norms while maintaining CRM records and achieving sales targets across savings, current accounts, and ancillary products.

Qualifications

• Graduation is required; post-graduation preferred.
• Certifications in NISM V-A, IRDA, GI are desirable.
• Strong sales and banking product knowledge essential.

Responsibilities

• Sales: Ensure Sales responsibilities are completed.
• Managing Classic Portfolio: manage benchmark customers, group customers with family members, achieve income benchmarks, enhance wallet size, update CRM.
• Customer Services: deliver quality service and resolve complaints within TAT; promote direct banking channels; ensure timely account opening.
• Operations: maintain daily sales reports; acquire savings and current accounts; cross-sell Demat, Bill Pay and Advisory; monitor large account movements; promote MF, Insurance, Bonds; ensure error-free documentation; adhere to KYC norms; manage locker operations; update CRM for asset leads.

Manage Classic portfolio by acquiring new customers, deepening relationships through cross-selling, and retaining customers by delivering exceptional service. Aim to become the primary banker for Classic relationships and maximize wallet share.

Key Responsibilities

Sales

• Ensure Sales responsibilities are completed.

Managing Classic Portfolio

• Manage benchmark customer numbers in the portfolio.
• Group customers with family members for enhanced relationships.
• Achieve income-generating product benchmarks.
• Enhance customer group profitability and wallet size.
• Update CRM with detailed customer interactions.

Customer Services

• Deliver quality customer service and resolve complaints within TAT.
• Promote direct banking channels and assist customers.
• Ensure timely account opening and customer communication.

Operations

• Maintain daily sales reports.
• Ensure quality acquisition of savings and current accounts.
• Cross-sell products like Demat, Bill Pay, and Advisory.
• Monitor large account movements and prevent attrition.
• Promote third-party products like MF, Insurance, and Bonds.

• Manage locker operations and standing instructions.

Education:

• Graduation required; Post-graduation preferred.
