Job Title: Duty Manager - Ramp Operations

Roles and Responsibilities

• Contribute to developing current and long-term objectives, policies, and operating procedures to ensure ground handling services align with airline and regulatory requirements.
• Represent the company and its values in relationships with customers, authorities, and professional bodies.
• Plan, organize, direct, and control all ground handling services during shifts, ensuring quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Resolve ground handling service issues, effectively manage the team, and maintain the highest standards of customer service.
• Ensure that ground handling services comply with airport and regulatory procedures, keeping the team updated on the latest policies and regulations.
• Maintain coherence, peace, and discipline among staff, and address any unresolved issues by providing suggestions for service improvement.
• Assist in formulating and implementing ground handling service strategies and policies in line with the company’s vision, mission, and legal requirements.
• Provide necessary support to the Operations Manager in customer and airport authority relations.
• Recommend key personnel for ground handling service departments to achieve operational goals, including market share, revenue, cost reductions, and efficiency.
• Lead and coordinate subordinates during shifts, monitor performance, provide feedback, and report to the Operations Manager.
• Conduct spot checks, address discrepancies, and report corrective actions to the Operations Manager.
• Contribute to resource planning and procedure development for ground handling services.
• Monitor department targets, report progress, and attend training for self-improvement.
• Propose and implement measures to improve customer satisfaction within ground handling services.
• Ensure the functionality of ground handling equipment and address any deficiencies through Duty Officers.
• Ensure the security and safety of company property and confidentiality of all information.
• Maintain the upkeep of office spaces and enforce staff grooming and uniform regulations.
• Prepare monthly and weekly work schedules for ground handling departments, manage personnel overtimes, and ensure coordination of food and transport services.
• Resolve operational issues beyond Duty Officers’ jurisdiction, informing the Operations Manager of unresolved problems.
• Report and manage any accidents occurring on the ramp, following up with the necessary units.
• Implement emergency measures according to the Emergency Plan and ensure relevant units are informed.
• Coordinate domestic and international flights for top executives and VIP visitors, ensuring smooth operations.
• Manage and replenish stock for ground handling service departments as needed.
• Monitor additional services provided to airlines and ensure accurate invoicing of services offered.
• Attend regular management meetings, sharing necessary information with the team for seamless operations.
