Job summary

Valeo seeks a radar systems engineer in Chennai to drive ADAS radar capabilities across sensing, validation, and safety analyses. You will work on RADAR hardware, system architecture, and HIL validation, collaborating with customers and internal teams to resolve issues and optimize performance.

The role requires deep knowledge of CAN/CAN-FD, Ethernet, and KPI reporting, with hands-on experience in ASPICE and ISO26262 frameworks to ensure functional safety across radar applications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of RADAR experience with product knowledge.
• Strong RADAR hardware and system architecture expertise for ADAS.
• Experience with Vehicle Braking and Brake ECU.
• HIL exposure and radar data visualization/KPI analysis.
• CAN/CAN-FD and Ethernet communication know-how.
• Familiarity with ASPICE and ISO26262 standards.
• Customer discussions and stakeholder management.
• Experience with DOORs, Code Beamer and CoreALM.

Responsibilities

• Analyze radar functions and support validation for BSD/FCW/RCW/AEB.
• Define and refine system requirements for RADAR-based ADAS.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams on issues and resolutions.
• Perform radar data analysis, tracing, and KPI generation.
• Support behavioral and safety analyses per ASPICE/ISO26262.

Job description

• Good experience RADAR System functions (Detection, Blockage Avoidance, Interfernce, Calibration and RADAR Perception) with Product knowledge and a minimum of 5 years of experience in RADAR


• Strong knowledge and Expertise in RADAR Hardware and System Architecture for ADAS solutions


• Experience on Vehicle Braking and Brake ECU


• Vehicle validation exposure for the RADAR End user functions BSD, FCW, RCW, AEB etc and


• HIL exposure for RADAR functions and Good experience in Visualization and analysis of Radar PointClound & Vehicle traces and KPI preparation


• Experienced in analyzing & handling the Customer reported issues and possess skills in problem resolution and management


• Good understanding on Vehicle communication based on CAN, CAN-FD and Ethernet


• Strong in System engineering principles and Requirements writing with good Knowledge in ASPICE & ISO26262


• Good experience in handling the Customer discussions and internal stakeholders


• Knowledge in Functional Safety and Cyber Security for RADAR functions and product


• Requirement management tools DOORs, Code Beamer & Configuration management tools such as CoreALM

Good to Have Skills:
