- Own end-to-end hardware development and lifecycle management of automotive radar sensors.
- Define component requirements, specifications, and integration concepts.
- Lead supplier technical discussions, design reviews, and issue resolution.
- Coordinate radar integration with vehicle, system, software, quality, and manufacturing teams.
- Drive validation, release, and production readiness activities.
- Ensure compliance with performance, EMC, reliability, and functional safety requirements.
- Manage product quality, cost, timing, and technical maturity
What should you bring along
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in automotive electronics, ADAS, radar sensors, or hardware development.
- Strong stakeholder and supplier management skills.
- Experience working in cross-functional and global development teams.
Must have technical skill
- Automotive radar hardware and sensor architecture knowledge.
- Experience in radar development, integration, and validation.
- Understanding of RF fundamentals, antenna concepts, and radar performance metrics.
- CAD Skills – Catia V5/V6, plastic, sheetmetal
- Experience with DFMEA, DVP&R, requirements management, and change management.
- Familiarity with EMC, environmental testing, ASPICE, and ISO 26262.
- Experience in supplier management and root-cause analysis.
- Knowledge of BMW PLM tools.
- Knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing standards.
Good to have technical skills
- Knowledge of sensor fusion involving Radar, Camera, Ultrasonic, and LiDAR.
- Experience with ADAS functions such as ACC, AEB, BSD, and Lane Change Assist.
- Exposure to vehicle-level testing and calibration.
