Job summary

The Bliss is seeking a technically sound Design Executive to transition concepts into factory-ready outputs in Mumbai. You will create high-quality 3D models for solid wood and panel-based furniture and prepare accurate BOMs for seamless production, sampling, and prototyping.

You will use AutoCAD, PYTHA, and Top Solid to develop 2D layouts, elevations, joinery details, and material optimization strategies, coordinating with workshop teams to finalize designs for the first production run.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in wooden furniture industry (degree holders).
• 6–8 years experience for Diploma holders in wooden furniture manufacturing.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, PYTHA and Top Solid for 2D/3D drawings.

Responsibilities

• Create precise 3D furniture models using AutoCAD/PYTHA/Top Solid ensuring structural integrity and aesthetic accuracy.
• Generate comprehensive 2D layouts, elevations, and joinery details for factory use.
• Prepare detailed BOMs, hardware specifications/qty, and cutting lists to ensure zero-error manufacturing.
• Lead design phase for samples and prototypes with workshop coordination to refine designs before mass production.
• Review and release final design packages for the first production lot.
• Use nesting and optimization to minimize wastage in board materials.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a technically sound Design Executive to lead the transition from design concepts to factory-ready outputs. You will be responsible for creating high-quality 3D models and detailed technical drawings for Solid wood & panel based furniture, ensuring that all Bill of Materials (BOM) are accurate for seamless production, sampling, and prototyping.

Key Responsibilities:

• 3D Modelling & Visualization: Develop precise 3D furniture models using AutoCAD/PYTHA/Top Solid ensuring structural integrity and aesthetic accuracy.
• Technical Drawings: Generate comprehensive 2D layouts, elevations, and joinery details using AutoCAD/PYTHA/Top Solid for the factory use.
• Documentation (BOM): To prepare detailed Bill of Material (BOM), hardware specifications/Qty. and cutting lists to ensure zero-error manufacturing Using MS Excel.
• Prototyping & Sampling: Lead the design phase for samples and prototypes, coordinating with the workshop team to refine designs before mass production.
• Production Release: Review and release the final design packages for the first production lot, ensuring all technical constraints are addressed which were observed during prototyping.
• Material Optimization: Use nesting and optimization techniques to minimize wastage in board materials.

Experience Requirements:

Degree Holders: 3 to 5 years in the wooden furniture industry.

Diploma Holders: 6 to 8 years of specialized experience in wooden furniture manufacturing.

Software Proficiency:

• PYTHA 3D CAD/CAM - (Adding advantage for this job)
• Top Solid 3D CAD/CAM - (Adding advantage for this job)
• AutoCAD (Expertise in 2D/3D drawings and layouts)

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in wooden furniture construction, joinery, and hardware (Ebco/Hafele/Hettich etc.)
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes for Solid Wood, MDF, Veneer and Plywood.
• Ability to troubleshoot design flaws during the prototyping stage.
• Understanding of Office, Home, Institutional and basic furniture types and constructions.

Soft Skills:

• High level of precision and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills for material and cost calculations.
• Effective communication to bridge the gap between design and the shop floor.
