Job summary

Surbana Jurong is seeking a Quantity Surveyor II to join our Gurgaon office. The role requires a Civil/ QS background and 5–10 years in quantity surveying, cost management, and commercial activities.

You will prepare take-offs, BOQs, and cost plans, review contractor submissions, support pre- and post-contract activities, and monitor costs through the project lifecycle with a focus on accuracy and timely delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • 5-10 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, and Commercial Management.
  • Prepare and review quantity take-offs, BOQs, cost estimates, and Bills of Quantities.
  • Undertake measurement and valuation of works and review interim and final accounts.
  • Support pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying activities.
  • Assist in preparation of tender documentation, pricing schedules, cost plans, and bid evaluation.
  • Monitor project costs, budgets, variations, and cost forecasts.
  • Review and assess variations, claims, and additional works in coordination with teams.
  • Support cost reporting, financial tracking, and commercial risk management.
  • Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, project managers, and client representatives.
  • Ensure surveying deliverables are completed accurately within timelines.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of measurement standards, contracts, and relevant codes.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and QS software; BIM tools advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Undertake measurement and valuation of works and review contractor submissions, interim payment applications, and final accounts.
  • Support pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying activities.
  • Assist in preparation of tender documentation, pricing schedules, cost plans, and bid evaluation.
  • Monitor project costs, budgets, variations, and cost forecasts throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review and assess variations, claims, and additional works in coordination with project and commercial teams.
  • Support cost reporting, financial tracking, and commercial risk management.
  • Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, project managers, and client representatives to resolve commercial and quantity-related issues.
  • Ensure quantity surveying deliverables are completed accurately and within agreed project timelines and quality standards.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of measurement standards, construction contracts, and relevant codes/practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and relevant QS / cost management software; experience with BIM-based quantity take-off tools is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working on large-scale multidisciplinary projects and within a consulting environment will be preferred.
  • Willingness to work from the Gurgaon office and collaborate with multidisciplinary and international project teams.
