Job summary

PeopleStrong in Chennai requires a Quantity Surveyor to manage and monitor quantity surveying and client billing for high-rise residential projects. You will prepare and verify RA bills, measurements, and supporting documents in line with approved drawings and contractual requirements.

Coordinate with execution, planning, design and commercial teams for timely data collection, validation and billing approval, while tracking variations and ensuring compliant documentation for efficient project

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelors in Civil Engineering or related field with exposure to QS processes.
• Experience in quantity surveying, billing, and contract administration.
• Familiarity with BOQ, drawings, measurements and client communications.

Job Description

Job Role – Quantity Surveyor & Client Billing

Manage and monitor quantity surveying and client billing activities for high‑rise residential projects, ensuring accurate and timely submission of bills.

Prepare and verify client RA bills, measurements, quantity statements and supporting documents as per approved drawings, BOQ and contractual requirements.

Coordinate with execution, planning, design and commercial teams for timely collection and validation of work completion data and measurements.

Monitor executed quantities against BOQ/tender quantities and identify variations, deviations and additional works for timely submission and approval.

Ensure proper documentation and follow-up for extra items, deviation statements, claims and change orders as applicable.

Coordinate with the client/consultant for joint measurements, certification of bills and resolution of billing-related queries.

Track bill submission, certification and billing targets and ensure timely achievement as per project requirements.

Maintain records of approved quantities, measurements, client certifications and billing status for effective monitoring and reconciliation.

Support quantity reconciliation, cost monitoring and analysis of project commercial performance.

Identify billing gaps and pending certifications and coordinate with concerned teams for timely closure and SJV/billing booking.

Ensure compliance with contractual provisions, project procedures and internal commercial controls while carrying out billing and quantity surveying activities.
