Job summary

Assystem Navi Mumbai is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor for architectural and interior design projects. You will prepare detailed cost estimates, conduct site measurements, and verify drawings to ensure accurate material and labour quantification.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience, RICS membership or eligibility, and proficiency in Excel, BIM, and QS software. This on-site position offers cost-control responsibilities and regular reporting to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related built environment discipline.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, or project management within architectural or interior design projects.
• Professional membership or eligibility with RICS or an equivalent professional body.
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, specifications, and industry standards.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity surveys and cost estimates for architectural and interior design projects.
• Conduct comprehensive site measurements, inspections, and assessments to ensure accuracy of project specifications.
• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and documentation to quantify materials, labour, and associated costs.
• Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities throughout project lifecycle.
• Prepare tender documents and conduct competitive analysis to support procurement decisions.
• Administer contracts and manage vendor relationships to ensure compliance with project requirements and timelines.
• Monitor project costs and provide regular financial reports to project managers and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, and contractors to clarify specifications and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including measurements, quotes, invoices, and cost analyses.
• Ensure all quantity surveying work complies with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
