Job description

Nirmaan is looking for a detail-oriented Quantity Estimation Engineer with a strong design background to support accurate quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, and cost estimation for commercial MEP projects. The ideal candidate should possess technical understanding of drawings and specifications, ensuring precision in estimation and project costing.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs from design drawings and specifications
• Develop and review BOQs (Bill of Quantities) for MEP works
• Analyze drawings (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting) for estimation accuracy
• Coordinate with design and project teams to validate quantities and scope
• Assist in cost estimation, rate analysis, and budget preparation
• Identify scope gaps, variations, and cost-saving opportunities
• Support tendering and procurement teams with technical quantity inputs
• Maintain estimation records and documentation as per company standards

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Strong understanding of MEP drawings and systems
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel (mandatory)
• Knowledge of commercial projects is preferred
