Job summary

Hero Realty Pvt Ltd in India seeks a Quantity Surveyor with strong MEP cost management and quantity surveying experience. The role involves reviewing BOQs, preparing cost estimates, and controlling budgets across mechanical, electrical and plumbing works.

You will collaborate with design teams, consultants and procurement to ensure cost-effective solutions, perform site verifications and manage change orders while ensuring deadlines are met and contracts are understood.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of MEP systems, materials and construction methods.
• Experience in quantity surveying and cost management for MEP works.
• Proficient in cost estimation for MEP projects.
• Familiar with AutoCAD, BIM and MS Office tools.
• Knowledge of ERP (Farvision) is desirable.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate BOQs and cost estimates for MEP works.
• Prepare cost estimates and budgets with design team and consultants.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare BOQ for MEP systems.
• Perform rate analysis for market justification of MEP items.
• Collaborate with consultants, project managers, engineers, and procurement.
• Conduct site visits to verify progress and validate contractor claims.
• Assist in risk management and mitigation for MEP works.
• Check contract documents and billing terms for MEP works.
• Manage Change Orders – verify extra quantity and rates for MEP works.
• Monitor budgets and prepare cost reports, cash flow forecasts, value engineering.
• Monitor budget for MEP works and control costs during construction.
• Identify gaps between awarded BOQ and executed work.

Role & responsibilities:

• 1. Review and validation of Bill of quantities/cost estimate given by consultants for MEP Works.
• 2. Prepare cost estimates and budgets for MEP works in coordination with design team and consultants.
• 3.Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• 4. Rate analysis of MEP items for the market rate justification.
• 5. Collaborate with Consultant, project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure cost-effective solutions
• 6. Conduct site visits to verify progress and validate contractor claims.
• 7. Assist in risk management and mitigation planning related to MEP works.
• 8. Checking of Contract document and billing terms for MEP works.
• 9. Change Order Management -Extra item quantity/rate verification for MEP works.
• 10. Monitor Budget/project costs and prepare cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and value engineering assessments.
• 11. Budget Monitoring for MEP works and control the cost during construction.
• 12. Gap analysis in awarded (BOQ) and executed work.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, materials, and construction methods.
• Should have hands-on experience in execution of MEP works and quantity surveying with a focus on MEP works.
• Proficiency in cost estimation for MEP works.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, BIM, and MS Office.
• Knowledge of ERP (Farvision)
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work fast and meet tight deadlines.
• Should be Mechanical/Electrical graduate having exposure in quantity surveying and cost management.
