Job summary

Siemens Energy India Limited invites a Quality Test Professional to lead high voltage testfield activities, performing in-process testing of transformers and reactors, and preparing comprehensive test certificates with calibrated instruments.

The role requires 10–15 years in electrical testing, a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, and strong safety focus, with MS Office and AutoCAD skills to document results and support project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 10–15 years of experience in testing Transformers/Reactors/Distribution Transformers.
• Knowledge of electrical testing and control panels/PLCs is needed.
• MS Office proficiency (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process testing of transformers and reactors.
• Conduct routine, type, and special tests per IS/IEC/IEEE standards.
• Calibrate test instruments and maintain testing equipment.
• Prepare Test Certificates and maintain NABL/ISO 17025 awareness.
• Handle customer inspections independently and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 requirements.
• Assist in testing of control panels and panel accessories.
• Support site and factory testing activities and document results.

The Candidate should have hands on experience Knowledge acquired in 1-5 years in testing of Transformers, Reactors and Distribution Transformers.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Knowledge of safety system and preventive measures during high voltage testing
• In-process testing of Transformers and Reactors
• Performing routine, type, and special tests on transformers/reactors according to IS/IEC/IEEE
• Knowledge and hands on experience of Lightning/Switching Impulse and Partial Discharge testing
• Handling customer inspections independently
• Knowhow of NABL requirements according to ISO/IEC 17025: 2017
• Testing of Control Panels – Inspection at supplier end
• Panel accessories fitting at factory
• Panel testing after fitting of all accessories during final testing in presence of customer.
• Preparation of Test Certificates
• Calibration of Test Instruments / Equipments
• Maintenance of testing equipment’s
• Awareness on requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Proficiency in Soft Skills like Word, Excel, PPT, Auto CAD, etc. - Preferred

About the team

We provide EPC for high and extra high voltage projects pertinent to AIS/GIS, Flexible Alternating Current Transmission System (FACTS) devices and High Voltage Direct Current Voltage Source Converter (HVDC VSC) technology. Further, we off er an extensive range of services for the complete lifecycle of the High Voltage /Extra High Voltage asset and projects including bay extension, substation modernisation, product retrofitting and overhauling, emergency services, breakdown services, Long Term Service Agreements (LTSAs), maintenance contracts, O&M contracts and spares.
