Job summary

Siemens Energy India Limited is seeking a Business Development professional for High Voltage products, including GIS/AIS spare parts, field services, retrofits, refurbishments and substation modifications in the Northern region. You will drive growth across HV projects, coordinate with customers and internal teams, and ensure maintenance of safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates will have a BE in Electrical Engineering with up to 5 years of relevant experience, strong communication

Qualifications

• B.E. in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Up to 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong communication, leadership and team coordination beneficial.
• Understanding of EHS regulations and lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor and control testing and production turnover targets.
• Lead customer inspections and FAT for domestic/international clients.
• Maintain process documentation and support ISO audits.
• Provide technical guidance and coordinate with support functions.
• Lead and develop the team, conduct regular reviews and trainings.
• Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance safety, efficiency and quality.
• Willingness to work across three shifts on a weekly rotation.

A Snapshot of Your Day

Will be responsible for Business development of High Voltage products which includes GIS/AIS Spare Parts -Accessories, Field Services, HV Circuit breaker Retrofit, Refurbishment, Substation Modifications, uprating, GIS / AIS Bay Extensions, Planned Maintenance and Inspection, Reactive Maintenance and Repairs, Operation and Maintenance-O&M, Project Services, Transformers and Digital Services in the Northern region of India.

How You'll Make an Impact

Planning & Control

• Develop and monitor daily and monthly testing plans aligned with production turnover targets.
• Organize, monitor, and control the testing area, including employee allocation, workflows, materials, tools, and adherence to procedures to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.

Customer Inspection & FAT

• Lead and manage customer inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for both domestic and international customers.
• Ensure smooth coordination with customers and internal stakeholders to meet technical, quality, and scheduling expectations.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain all process level documentation, records, and reports in accordance with internal and regulatory requirements.
• Handle internal and external ISO audits, including documentation, process compliance, and employee training activities.

Technical & Team Support

• Provide technical guidance to technicians; coordinate responses to technical and quality related queries.
• Collaborate with support functions to resolve issues efficiently.
• Monitor workstation KPIs and initiate corrective or preventive actions when required.

Team Leadership & Communication

• Conduct daily/regular meetings with team members to review operational status, safety concerns, and quality matters.
• Participate in Gemba meetings, Quality Gemba, 5S audits, and Safety meetings.
• Lead, plan, and support the training and development of employees; maintain skill matrices and development plans.
• Monitor employee performance, provide feedback, and conduct growth discussions.

Continuous Improvement

• Lead and execute improvement projects aimed at enhancing processes, safety, efficiency, and product quality.

Work Flexibility

• Must be willing to work in all three shifts (morning, evening, and night) on a weekly rotation schedule.

What You Bring

• Education: B.E. in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: Up to 5 years of relevant experience demonstrating successful execution of the responsibilities outlined in this profile.
• Communication: Strong professional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively lead and coordinate within the facility.
• EHS Knowledge: Understanding of Environmental Health and Safety regulations and procedures.
• Lean Manufacturing: Advanced knowledge of lean principles for process optimization and waste elimination.
• Leadership: Proven ability to motivate, engage, and guide teams to achieve organizational goals.

Our product portfolio includes AIS (upto 800 kV), GIS (upto 420 kV), Power Transformers (upto 765 kV, 500 MVA), Reactors (upto 765 kV), Traction Transformers (upto 33 kV, 10 MVA). We provide EPC for high and extra high voltage projects pertinent to AIS/GIS, Flexible Alternating Current Transmission System (FACTS) devices and High Voltage Direct Current Voltage Source Converter (HVDC VSC) technology.
