Job summary

Anu Overseas in Aligarh is seeking a Quality Management professional to lead documentation, certification, and quality control across materials and processes. You will prepare manuals, SOPs, and inspection formats, and coordinate ISO 9001 and BIS activities with auditors and laboratories.

Qualifications

• Experience with quality systems and documentation in manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and BIS certification activities.
• Experience in internal audits, external audit coordination, and corrective actions.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of incoming material inspection and supplier quality control.
• Proficient in MS Excel and Word; strong record-keeping.
• Strong follow-up, communication, and coordination skills.
• Experience coordinating fire safety maintenance is a plus.

Role & responsibilities

1. Quality Documentation & Certification

• Prepare, maintain, and update quality manuals, SOPs, work instructions, inspection formats, and quality records.
• Coordinate ISO and BIS certification, surveillance audits, renewals, and related documentation.
• Plan and conduct internal audits and coordinate with external auditors, certification bodies, and testing laboratories.
• Track non-conformities, follow up on corrective and preventive actions, and verify their effectiveness.
• Maintain document control, calibration records, training records, and audit reports.
• Work with production, purchase, and other departments to ensure quality procedures are consistently followed.

2. Incoming Material Quality

• Inspect incoming raw materials, bought-out components, and consumables against approved specifications, drawings, and inspection standards.
• Verify supplier test certificates and arrange testing wherever required.
• Maintain incoming inspection reports and records of accepted, rejected, and on-hold materials.
• Ensure non-conforming material is identified, segregated, and prevented from entering production.
• Coordinate with purchase and suppliers to resolve quality issues and follow up on corrective actions.
• Monitor supplier quality performance and recurring defects.

3. Fire Safety Equipment Management

• Maintain an updated inventory and inspection records of fire safety equipment.
• Schedule routine checks, servicing, refilling, and testing through competent service providers.
• Ensure fire extinguishers and other installed fire safety equipment remain accessible, correctly identified, and ready for use.
• Track service due dates and promptly report defects or overdue maintenance.
• Coordinate fire safety training and mock drills with the concerned teams and maintain records.

Preferred candidate profile

• Previous experience in quality systems and documentation within a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and hands-on experience with BIS certification activities.
• Experience in internal audits, external audit coordination, and corrective action follow-up.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications and use relevant measuring instruments.
• Good knowledge of incoming material inspection and supplier quality control.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and maintaining organised records.
• Strong follow-up, communication, and coordination skills.
• Experience coordinating fire safety equipment maintenance will be an advantage.
