Job summary

Intertek is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to ensure ISO/IEC 17025:2017 alignment across all testing facilities in Tamil Nadu. The role oversees quality systems, internal audits, CAPA, and management reviews to sustain accreditation and continuous improvement.

The candidate will coordinate training, document control, and external audits while liaising with buyers and assessment bodies to maintain NABL/compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in quality management within ISO/IEC 17025:2017 environments.

Job description

JOB PURPOSE:

To review the process and align as per ISO/IEC 17025:2017 along with Intertek requirements.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To discharge the functions of the Quality Manager as required under ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard
• To ensure that the management system related to quality is implemented, reviewed, update and followed at all time at every location.
• To arrange & Conduct the Internal Quality Audits in accordance with the procedure as per checklist.
• To organize, participate and review report with actions in Management Review Meetings.
• To monitor internal quality checks, ILC and proficiency testing.
• To organize and monitor training of the new staff regarding the testing activity carried out by the laboratory and to provide refresher training/new tests to the existing staff.
• To plan monitor external and internal trainings as per training needs of the laboratory.
• To monitor and update complaints, non-conforming work, corrective and preventive actions and needs for improvement to the top management.
• Liaise with the external assessment body on all matters related to the external accreditation process. To plan and monitor external and internal calibration of equipments and reference standard.
• Ensuring Calibration of equipments conducted as per schedule.
• Conducting Munsell tests for Internal & External staffs
• Forward the Monthly consolidates report of Complaints, Rework, Daily Error report analysis, Training, Process mapping, etc to Head Quality.
• NABL Projects / Lab Projects / Suppliers Audits as per Buyer requirements.
• Handling the External Audits (NABL/any Customers)
• Review of Documents, Procedures & Records
• Ensure the latest International standards available in lab
• MU calculation for Mechanical and Chemical parameter
• Provide Technical clarifications for lab staffs.
• Checking the Next & Decathlon portal on monthly basis for new protocols/specification/test methods, etc.

Experience Minimum: 8 years

Education:

M.Tech (Textile Technology) or B.Tech (Textile Technology) or Diploma textiles or Science graduate.
