Job summary

R2R Consults is seeking a QC Lead to oversee all QC activities across departments and ensure product status is identified at every stage. The role focuses on improving lab environments, training technicians, and driving quality improvements through data analysis.

The incumbent will coordinate with export and design teams for test protocols, test incoming and finished materials, and ensure compliance with ISO standards. Strong planning and communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and priorities QC activities in all departments.
• Identify product status at each stage (Passed, Failed, under test or On Hold) and suggest actions for non-conforming material and nonconformities.
• Provide a suitable work environment in Labs.
• Enhance the technical competence of Lab Technicians.
• Analyze QC data for trends and improvements.
• Investigate market complaints for corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with Export and Design teams for test protocols during development and bulk.
• Test and ensure quality of incoming material (fiber, top, dyes, chemicals & packing material).
• Test and ensure quality of in-process and finished products (Fiber, tops, suiting & furnishing fabric).
• Conduct various testing adhering to the testing plan.
• Manage testing activities by priority through proper planning.
• Avoid warehouse delivery of non-conforming material by email to concerned HODs.
• Raise indents for consumables and follow up with Purchase for timely procurement.
• Lab equipment maintenance and follow-up with Eng. Dept. for rectification.
• Coordinate calibration with external accredited labs and in-house calibration with Instrumentation Engg.
• Assist for documentation work for ISO-9001, 14001, OHSAS.
• Manage inventory of QC Lab stationary, chemicals & consumables.
• Highlight issues of non-conforming incoming raw material.
• Provide test reports & data to Export/RAL/Inst.sales as required.
• Provide adequate environment in lab.

In addition to the activities of Team, Lead has to;

• To plan and priorities QC activities in all departments.
• To ensure identification of product at each stage with respect to inspection status Passed, Failed, under test or On Hold. Suggest suitable action for all non-confirming material and nonconformities observed in process and product.
• Responsible to provide a suitable work environment in Labs.

• Conduct various testing adhering to testing plan.
• Managing various testing activities as per priority by proper planning.
• To avoid the W/H delivery of non-confirming material by communication via mail to concern HODs.
• Raising indent of the consumable items & follow up with purchase department for in time procurement.
• Lab equipment maintenance & follow up with Eng.Dept. for rectification.
• Managing calibration from outside accredited lab maintaining their schedule & conducting inhouse calibration in coordination with Instrumentation Engg.
• To assist for documentation work for ISO-9001, 14001, OHSAS.
