Job summary

Vashini Agro Pvt. Ltd. in Pollachi, Tamil Nadu, is looking for a Quality Executive to join our QA team.

You will monitor quality from incoming raw materials through to finished products, maintaining records and ensuring compliance with SOPs, GMP, GHP and HACCP. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Food Technology/Science or Microbiology and has 1–2 years of experience in food processing or QA laboratories; freshers with strong practical knowledge may also be considered.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Food Technology, Food Science or Microbiology.
• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Microbiology or Food Science & Technology, or B.Tech./M.Tech in Food Technology.
• Other relevant food science or microbiology qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials, in-process materials and finished products against quality requirements.
• Support microbiological, physical and chemical testing as applicable.
• Monitor hygiene, cleaning, sanitation and housekeeping on the factory floor.
• Check adherence to SOPs, GMP, GHP, HACCP and food safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, test reports and quality documentation.
• Identify and report quality or food safety concerns and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve them.
• Assist with investigations into customer complaints and non-conformities and corrective actions.
• Support internal and external audits, regulatory inspections and traceability activities.
• Coordinate with external laboratories when required.
• Contribute to practical improvements in quality and food safety.

About the role

Quality in food manufacturing depends on people who notice the details, ask the right questions and follow through. At Vashini Agro, we are looking for Quality Executives who want to apply their knowledge and contribute to safe, consistent food production.

You will join our Quality Assurance team and work closely with production and other departments, checking quality from incoming raw materials through to finished products. This role suits someone who enjoys practical work, values accurate records and is willing to speak up when something needs attention.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials, in-process materials and finished products against quality requirements.
• Conduct or support microbiological, physical and chemical testing, as applicable.
• Monitor hygiene, cleaning, sanitation and housekeeping practices on the factory floor.
• Check adherence to standard operating procedures, GMP, GHP, HACCP and food safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, test reports and quality documentation.

Qualifications

A relevant qualification in Food Technology, Food Science or Microbiology, such as:

• B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Microbiology or Food Science & Technology.
• B.Tech. / M.Tech. in Food Technology.
• Other relevant food science or microbiology qualifications.

Experience

1–2 years of relevant experience in food processing, quality assurance, quality control, food testing or microbiology laboratories. Experience with fresh produce or food products is preferred.

Freshers with strong relevant practical knowledge may also be considered.

Required knowledge and skills

• Understanding of food safety, HACCP, GMP and GHP.
• Basic knowledge of microbiological testing and food quality parameters.
• Careful documentation and record maintenance.
• Basic working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.
• Clear communication and the ability to work with production and operations teams.
• Attention to detail, responsibility and a willingness to learn.
• Readiness to work in a factory environment and follow hygiene and safety procedures consistently.
