Intensiv-filter Himenviro is seeking a QA/QC Inspector to oversee inspection and quality documentation of fabricated air pollution control equipment from incoming material to final dispatch.
You will perform shop-floor inspections, maintain quality dossiers, and interact with customers and third‑party inspectors to ensure compliance with drawings and the quality plan.
You will be responsible for inspection and quality documentation of fabricated air pollution control equipment, from incoming material through cutting, welding and assembly to final dispatch. The role combines hands‑on shop‑floor inspection with disciplined records, and involves regular contact with customer and third‑party inspectors. Equipment is released only when it meets the drawing and the quality plan.
Carry out incoming, in-process, dimensional, final and pre‑dispatch inspection of materials, fabricated components, assemblies and finished equipment.
Inspect cutting, bending, welding, fabrication and assembly workmanship against approved drawings, tolerances and specifications; perform layout inspection.
Read and interpret GA drawings, detailed fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
Verify material identification and traceability against test certificates, and check welding documentation (WPS, welder qualification) where the quality plan requires it.
Check surface preparation, painting and coating, including dry film thickness, before dispatch.
Prepare and maintain QAP, ITP, inspection checklists, material and dimensional reports, and final quality dossiers for domestic and export jobs.
Raise NCRs and rejection records, hold non‑conforming items, and release them only after disposition and re‑inspection.
Conduct root cause analysis and follow corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) through to closure with Production and suppliers.
Coordinate customer and third‑party inspections and resolve their observations with Engineering, Production and Projects.
Monitor rejection and rework trends and support continuous improvement on the shop floor.
Visit supplier and customer locations for inspection and audits as required.
Equipment passes customer and third‑party inspection at the first offer.
Quality dossiers are complete and ready when the equipment is ready to dispatch.
NCRs are closed with real root causes, and the same defects stop recurring.
Production and Projects rely on your inspection reports and involve you early.
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 3-8 years of QA/QC experience.
Relevant experience in medium fabrication, sheet metal or industrial equipment manufacturing.
Hands‑on use of Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, measuring tapes and other inspection instruments.
Working knowledge of fabrication and welding quality, drawing interpretation, dimensional inspection, QAP, ITP, NCR and CAPA.
Accurate documentation, clear communication, and the confidence to hold a non‑conforming item.
NDT Level II certification (DPT / MPT / UT).
Experience with customer or third‑party inspections and export documentation.
Background in dust collection, bag filter or air pollution control equipment, heavy engineering, pressure equipment or structural fabrication.
Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period.
Holds a non‑conforming item even when dispatch is urgent.
Checks against the drawing every time and records it the same day.
Works with Production and vendors to fix causes, not only reject parts.
States defects factually to colleagues, customers and inspectors.
Hands‑on quality role on engineered, project‑specific equipment rather than repetitive mass production.
Exposure to export jobs and inspections by customers and third‑party agencies.
A product where fabrication quality directly affects emission performance at the customer's plant.
