Technoforce Solutions is seeking a QC/Inspection professional responsible for ensuring fabrication quality and compliance with ASME codes, project specs, and QA plans. You will oversee documentation, coordinate internal teams and external agencies, and verify materials and weld quality across stages.

The role requires strong attention to detail, reading engineering drawings, and managing inspection records and NCRs to meet customer requirements and project timelines.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate QC inspections across fabrication stages per QAPs/ITPs and project specs.
• Review and maintain inspection records, NDT reports, weld maps, and material test certificates.
• Ensure material traceability and dimensional conformity through manufacturing.
• Manage nonconformances, NCRs, and corrective actions; drive timely closures.
• Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies and customers for inspections and closures.

Role & responsibilities

• Awareness of applicable ASME codes, standards, and specifications.
• Knowledge of Nondestructive Testing (NDT) methods, with Level II qualification in Radiographic Testing (RT) and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) preferred or required as per the position.
• Awareness of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 management system requirements.
• Good knowledge of fabrication processes for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and skid packages.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, engineering drawings, and inspection documents.
• Knowledge of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) is preferred.
• Understanding of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Performance Qualification (WPQ).
• Knowledge of material inspection, material traceability, welding inspection, and dimensional inspection.
• Understanding of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs), and project-specific quality requirements.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate with production, design, planning, customers, and third-party inspection agencies

Preferred candidate profile

1. QC Documentation: Prepare and maintain quality control documents in accordance with applicable ASME codes, project specifications, and company quality procedures.
2. Project-Specific Documentation: Prepare, review, and maintain quality documents based on approved project-specific Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs) and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
3. Raw Material Inspection: Inspect incoming raw materials, plates, pipes, tubes, flanges, fittings, forgings, and welding consumables against purchase specifications and material test certificates.
4. Material Traceability: Ensure proper material identification, heat number traceability, and transfer of material identification throughout fabrication and assembly.
5. Stage-Wise Inspection: Carry out inspections at various stages of fabrication in accordance with approved QAPs, ITPs, drawings, and applicable code requirements.
6. Weld Visual Inspection: Perform visual inspection of weld joints, including fit-up, joint preparation, weld appearance, and dimensional conformity, as applicable.
7. Welding Quality Control: Verify applicable WPS, PQR, and WPQ records and ensure welding activities comply with approved procedures and project requirements.
8. NDT Coordination: Coordinate with external agencies for RT, PT, and other applicable NDT activities. Review reports and ensure compliance with specified examination requirements and acceptance criteria.
9. Third-Party Inspection (TPI): Coordinate with customer inspectors and third-party inspection agencies, arrange inspections, and ensure timely closure of inspection comments.
10. Trial and Stage Inspection: Conduct and coordinate trial inspections and inspections at various manufacturing stages to verify compliance with drawings, QAPs, and customer requirements.
11. Hydrostatic Testing: Coordinate and witness hydrostatic pressure testing, verify test arrangements and calibrated instruments, and maintain the required inspection and test records.
12. Dimensional Inspection: Verify equipment dimensions, nozzle orientation, flange alignment, shell roundness, and other critical dimensions against approved drawings and specifications.
13. Nonconformance Management: Identify quality deviations, raise Nonconformance Reports (NCRs), coordinate corrective actions, and follow up on closure.
14. Final Inspection: Conduct final visual and dimensional inspections to ensure equipment is ready for customer inspection, final testing, and dispatch.
15. Quality Records: Maintain inspection reports, material test certificates, weld maps, NDT reports, hydrotest reports, calibration records, and other manufacturing quality documents.
16. Manufacturing Data Book: Compile and review the final quality dossier and supporting manufacturing records in accordance with project requirements.
17. Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with production, design, planning, and procurement teams to resolve quality issues and minimise rework and inspection delays.
