Job summary

Zetwerk in Chennai seeks a QA/QC professional to oversee end-to-end manufacturing quality, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure adherence to steelmaking and coating processes. You will generate detailed quality reports and drive corrective actions to meet tolerance standards.

Active involvement in QA meetings and customer coordination with inspection planning is expected, with a focus on solar projects experience.)

Qualifications

• Experience in quality control and assurance in manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of steel making processes and QC principles.
• Familiarity with GD&T and documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate / supervise end-to-end manufacturing to ensure product and process quality.
• Handle suppliers / processes.
• Expertise in Hot Rolling, Fabrication and Surface coating / Hot Dip Galvanizing.
• Prepare detailed reports on performance, quality, and defect rates.
• Document nonconformities and propose corrective actions.
• Inspect products, components and materials for tolerance compliance.
• Participate in QA and production meetings with the team.
• TPI and Customer coordination with inspection planning.

Job description

Role & responsibilities :

• Coordinate / Supervise end to end manufacturing process to ensure product and process quality.
• Expertise in handling suppliers / process.
• Expertise in Hot Rolling, Fabrication and Surface coating / Hot Dip Galvanizing
• Expertise in making detailed reports outlining performance, quality, and defect rates.
• Document nonconformities immediately and recommend techniques for prompt resolution.
• Assessed quality of products and compliance with tolerance standards by inspecting products, components, and materials.
• Participating in all QA and production meetings with the manufacturing team.
• TPI and Customer Coordinator with project status and inspection planning schedule.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in mechanical / production / Automobile / Metallurgy
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in quality control and assurance, with experience in Solar projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Steel making Process, quality control and assurance principles, tools, GD & T and documentation.
