Job summary

Career Builder Placement Services in Haryana invites a Quality Assurance Engineer to oversee product quality across injection moulding and sheet metal, perform multi-stage inspections, and drive PPAP submissions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with APQP, PPAP, and core quality tools, understands GD&T, and can support audits and continuous improvement for OEMs like Maruti, Honda, Tata Motors, Mahindra, Hyundai, Toyota, or similar.

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge of Injection Moulding and Sheet Metal processes.
• Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA.
• Understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings.
• Experience with OEM quality documentation and audits.
• Experience in Tier-1 automotive suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure product quality across Injection Moulding and Sheet Metal processes.
• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
• Handle customer complaints using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, CAPA, and RCA.
• Prepare PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, and quality docs.
• Conduct internal audits and support customer/third-party audits.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer requirements.
• Monitor process capability and implement CAPA.
• Coordinate with Production, Tool Room, Maintenance, and NPD teams.
• Support new product development and PPAP submissions.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce defects and boost customer satisfaction.

Role & responsibilities

• Ensure product quality throughout the Injection Moulding and Sheet Metal manufacturing processes.
• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
• Handle customer complaints using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, CAPA, and Root Cause Analysis.
• Prepare and maintain PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, and Quality Documentation.
• Conduct internal process audits and support customer and third-party audits.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific quality requirements.
• Monitor process capability and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with Production, Tool Room, Maintenance, and NPD teams to resolve quality issues.
• Support new product development and PPAP submissions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve customer satisfaction.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong knowledge of Injection Moulding and Sheet Metal manufacturing processes.
• Hands-on experience with Quality Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).
• Good understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, and tolerance analysis.
• Proficiency in measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, Dial Gauge, Profile Projector, CMM, and Surface Roughness Tester.
• Experience in customer audits, supplier quality, and process validation.
• Experience in Tier-1 Automotive companies supplying OEMs such as Maruti Suzuki, Honda, Tata Motors, Mahindra, Hyundai, Toyota, or similar.
• Experience in handling OEM customer requirements, quality documentation, and customer audits.
