Quality Control Engineer

Full-time, on-site role for a Quality Control Engineer located in New Delhi. In this role, the Quality Control Engineer will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring the quality of materials, processes, and products. Daily tasks will include implementing quality assurance processes, performing inspections, conducting tests, analyzing results, and documenting findings. Collaboration with different teams to address quality concerns and ensure compliance with standards and regulations is an integral part of this role.

Main responsibilities
  • Develop, document, and maintain QC plans, inspection criteria, and test procedures. Lead investigations, implement SPC, interact with suppliers.
  • Verification of compliance of engineering designs and manufactured products with regulatory and contractual requirements. ISO standards, industry- specific compliance requirements.
  • Inspect incoming materials, in‑process production, and finished goods; record results and raise nonconformances at suppliers' premises. For Example- Visual inspection, dimensional measurement, material testing etc.
  • Developing the relevant checklists/Quality Inspection Plans.
  • Verifying the documents (declaration of conformity, test certificates, material test certificates) accompanying the product and their compliance with the requirements specified in the order.
  • Ability to work in an on-site environment at various vendor locations.
  • Verifying the compliance of purchased products with the order and its attachments / technical specifications / drawings.
  • Lead root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and failure investigations.
  • Qualifies and monitors suppliers based on company quality standards & help the Purchase team in Vendor On-boarding.
  • Maintain quality records, prepare reports for management, and support audits (internal and external). In-depth knowledge of quality regulations, ISO 9001 certification.
  • Collaborates with the Technical Department to prepare the technical file and the plant's operation and maintenance manuals. Updates relevant system documentation.
  • Clear reporting and cross-functional collaboration with Suppliers, Customers and Management teams.
  • Ensures compliance with the Quality Management System within their role.
Qualification
  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years (typical) experience in plant engineering or industrial sector.
  • Proficiency in Quality Control and Quality Assurance processes
  • Proven expertise in Quality Management techniques and strategies
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation management skills
  • Ability to work in a team and interact with different Customers.
  • Strong knowledge and Inspection of Fabrication, Machining & Casting processes.
