Job summary

Sunbrilo Technology in Pune seeks a Quality Engineer with 2+ years of experience in sheet metal/automotive manufacturing to monitor quality, inspect components, and drive improvements across production.

You will manage APQP/PPAP, PFMEA, control plans, and CAPA, coordinating with Production and Engineering, and ensuring IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 compliance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, preferably in sheet metal/automotive manufacturing.
• Knowledge of sheet metal components and manufacturing processes.
• Hands-on experience with press shop, fabrication, welding, bending, and assembly quality.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA, and 8D.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain quality standards across sheet metal manufacturing and fabrication processes.
• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of sheet metal components.
• Handle quality issues related to press shop, bending, welding, fabrication, and assembly processes.
• Prepare and maintain quality documents such as Control Plans, Process Flow, PFMEA, Inspection Standards, and Work Instructions.
• Support APQP and PPAP activities, including preparation and review of relevant documentation.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone, and 8D methodologies.
• Implement CAPA and monitor their effectiveness.
• Analyze internal rejection, rework, customer complaints, and process defects.
• Use basic quality tools such as 7 QC Tools, SPC, MSA, and Pareto Analysis.
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and other departments to resolve quality issues.
• Conduct process and product audits and support internal, customer, and system audits.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 quality requirements.
• Monitor and improve PPM, rejection, rework, and first-pass yield.
• Maintain inspection and quality records and ensure proper traceability.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve process capability.

• Knowledge of measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Gauges, and other inspection tools.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel and quality documentation.

Educational Qualification

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Automobile, Production, Manufacturing, or a related engineering discipline.
