Role Summary
The QC Engineer is responsible for implementing and monitoring quality control activities on site to ensure that all materials, construction, and installation works comply with project specifications, company standards, and applicable international codes. The QC Engineer supports the Lead/Senior QAQC Engineer by conducting inspections, preparing reports, coordinating with third‑party inspectors, and maintaining proper quality documentation. The role contributes to achieving AMC’s commitment to excellence, client satisfaction, and ISO‑compliant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement project‑specific Quality Control procedures, ITPs, and inspection checklists.
- Conduct inspections of materials, equipment, and construction works to ensure compliance with specifications and drawings.
- Prepare inspection reports, test records, and maintain accurate quality documentation.
- Coordinate with QA/QC, Construction, and Engineering teams for inspection and test scheduling.
- Participate in welding, coating, and NDT inspection activities as per approved procedures.
- Monitor subcontractor quality performance and verify compliance with AMC and client requirements.
- Assist in identifying non‑conformances and ensure proper corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
- Coordinate with third‑party inspectors, clients, and certification bodies for inspection and verification.
- Support internal and external audits by maintaining complete quality records.
- Ensure that all inspection tools and measuring instruments are calibrated and used correctly.
- Promote a strong quality and safety culture within project teams.
Education & Qualifications
Essential:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Civil, or related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in QA/QC for oil & gas, marine, or offshore construction projects.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and QA/QC procedures.
Desirable:
- ASNT Level II in RT, UT, MT, and PT.
- CSWIP 3.1 / AWS-CWI or equivalent certification.
- Familiarity with NDT, coating, welding, and material inspection practices.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC inspection processes and project specifications.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, procedures, and technical standards.
- Good understanding of welding, coating, and NDT requirements.
- Excellent documentation and record‑keeping skills.
- Effective communication and coordination with site and client teams.

Responsibilities
- Conduct field inspections and witness testing activities per approved ITPs.Ensure that materials and construction works meet quality standards and client specifications.
- Record, track, and close out inspection findings and non‑conformances.Support QA/QC reporting and assist in compiling weekly/monthly quality performance summaries.
- Participate in quality toolbox meetings and promote AMC’s quality culture at the site level.
- Ensure inspection and test records are properly archived and retrievable for audits.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for material inspections and compliance checks.
- Support the Senior QA/QC Engineer during audits, client visits, and performance reviews.
