Quality Management
  • Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plans, Inspection and Test Plans, procedures, checklists, and related quality documentation.
  • Ensure project activities are performed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, applicable codes, standards, and contractual requirements.
  • Establish quality objectives, inspection criteria, hold points, witness points, and acceptance standards for project activities.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of quality processes and recommend improvements to prevent recurring issues.
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the organization’s Quality Management System.
Inspection and Testing
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise inspections and tests for materials, equipment, fabrication, installation, construction, and commissioning activities.
  • Review and approve inspection requests, test reports, material inspection reports, calibration certificates, and quality records.
  • Verify that all inspection and testing equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and suitable for use.
  • Coordinate with client representatives, consultants, third-party inspectors, and relevant authorities during inspections and testing activities.
  • Ensure that inspection and testing activities are completed in accordance with approved Inspection and Test Plans and project schedules.
Documentation and Compliance
  • Review project quality documentation, including material submittals, technical submissions, work procedures, inspection records, test certificates, and as-built documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and traceable quality records throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and submit quality reports, inspection summaries, quality dashboards, and status updates to project stakeholders.
  • Ensure that vendor and subcontractor documentation complies with project and contractual requirements.
  • Support the preparation and compilation of final quality dossiers and handover documentation.
Non-Conformance and Corrective Actions
  • Identify, document, and monitor non-conformities, defects, deviations, and quality-related risks.
  • Issue and manage Non-Conformance Reports, observations, punch lists, and corrective action requests.
  • Conduct or facilitate root-cause analysis and verify the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Track outstanding quality issues through closure and elevate critical or recurring concerns to project management.
  • Promote preventive quality practices to reduce rework, delays, material wastage, and project costs.
Audits and Quality Improvement
  • Conduct internal, supplier, subcontractor, and process audits in accordance with approved audit programs.
  • Participate in client, consultant, certification, and regulatory audits.
  • Prepare audit plans, reports, findings, and corrective action follow-up records.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, compliance, and overall project quality performance.
  • Share lessons learned and support the standardization of effective quality practices across projects.
Team and Stakeholder Coordination
  • Provide technical guidance and day-to-day direction to QA/QC engineers, inspectors, technicians, and project personnel.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project controls teams to resolve quality-related matters.
  • Review the quality performance of subcontractors and suppliers and ensure compliance with approved requirements.
  • Conduct quality awareness sessions, toolbox talks, and training for project teams and contractors.
  • Communicate quality risks, trends, and performance indicators clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Typically 7–12 years of relevant experience in QA/QC engineering, quality management, inspection, construction, manufacturing, infrastructure, energy, or other project-based industries.
  • Proven experience in a senior QA/QC engineering or quality management position.
  • Experience managing quality activities across multidisciplinary projects and coordinating with clients, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Experience with quality documentation, inspection processes, non-conformance management, audits, and project handover requirements.
Technical Knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems and quality control principles.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and relevant industry codes, standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, method statements, and inspection and test requirements.
  • Understanding of material control, welding and fabrication quality, dimensional inspection, testing, commissioning, and construction quality practices, as applicable to the project.
  • Familiarity with root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, risk-based thinking, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and quality management or project documentation systems.
Certifications
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification is preferred.
  • Relevant inspection, testing, welding, NDT, or industry-specific certifications are advantageous.
  • Professional engineering registration or membership of a recognized engineering or quality institution is preferred where applicable.
