Job summary

Atlas Metal Industries Pvt. Ltd. in Jamnagar seeks an experienced QC Manager to lead the Quality Control function at our Jamnagar facility.

You will ensure product quality, drive compliance across manufacturing operations, and mentor the QC team while coordinating audits, UL compliance, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in Quality Control / Quality Assurance, with leadership exposure.
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 Quality Management Systems.
• Hands-on knowledge of UL certification and compliance, including UL 467, UL 486A/486B, UL 486C.
• Solid understanding of APQP/PEPA, PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, Gauge R&R, SPC, 8D, CAPA, RCA, 5 Why and 7 QC Tools.
• Proven experience in handling customer, process, product, supplier and certification audits.
• Strong NCR management and corrective action systems knowledge.
• Ability to independently manage quality systems, audits and cross-functional quality initiatives.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, analytical and team-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive corrective, preventive and continuous improvement initiatives across departments.
• Ensure product conformity with UL requirements and support UL audits/certification.
• Maintain and review quality documentation, inspection standards and audit records.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall Quality Control function and QC team.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, UL standards and customer-specific quality requirements.
• Plan and conduct internal, process, product, supplier and customer audits .
• Drive effective implementation of APQP/PEPA, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan and MSA .
• Monitor process and product quality through SPC and other quality tools .
• Handle customer complaints, NCRs and quality concerns through structured 8D, CAPA and Root Cause Analysis .
• Drive corrective, preventive and continuous improvement initiatives across departments.
• Ensure product conformity with applicable UL requirements and support UL audits and certification activities.
• Maintain and review quality documentation, inspection standards, audit records and compliance reports.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, R&D and other cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues.
• Develop, train and motivate QC inspectors and engineers to achieve defined quality objectives.
• Strengthen supplier quality and ensure incoming materials meet required specifications.

Mandatory Experience & Skills

• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in Quality Control / Quality Assurance, preferably with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 Quality Management Systems .
• Hands-on knowledge of UL certification and compliance , preferably including:
• UL 467
• UL 486A / 486B
• UL 486C
• Strong understanding of APQP/PEPA, PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, Gauge R&R, SPC, 8D, CAPA, RCA, 5 Why and 7 QC Tools .
• Proven experience in handling customer, process, product, supplier and certification audits .
• Strong understanding of customer complaints, NCR management and corrective action systems.
• Ability to independently manage quality systems, audits and cross-functional quality initiatives.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, analytical and team-management skills.

Qualification

B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in any of the following or a relevant engineering discipline:

Relevant quality certifications and practical audit experience will be preferred.

Preferred Industry Experience

Candidates with experience in one or more of the following industries will be preferred:

• Earthing / Grounding Products
• Wire & Splice Connectors
• Similar precision engineering or electrical product manufacturing industries
