Job summary

Jobtailor in Tamil Nadu is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to drive quality control across manufacturing. You will develop and calibrate QC systems, inspect parts against drawings, and ensure ISO documentation is updated.

The role requires 2 years in sheet metal fabrication, familiarity with ISO 9001:2015, Six Sigma, MSA/CPK, and CAPA processes. Some travel (20–30%) within India is expected while supporting new product development and PPAP activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or diploma in mechanical/automotive/electrical/electronics.
• Willingness to travel 20-30% within India.
• 2 years' experience in sheet metal fabrication.
• Experience with NPD and ISO documentation.
• Knowledge of engineering drawings and layout inspection.
• ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification is advantageous.
• Six Sigma certification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all aspects of quality control are taken care of.
• Develop quality control systems enabling Production to manufacture the right quality.
• Inspect parts using engineering drawings and layouts.
• Handle ISO documentation and update reports.
• Maintain instrument calibration across the factory.
• Conduct patrol in-process inspections and ensure current-revision drawings and standard operating procedures are followed.
• Receive inspection of raw materials, sheets, coils, sheet metal parts, and plastic parts.
• Conduct final inspection of assembly panels and verify kitting parts and packing standards.
• Handle supplier issues and resolve vendor-related material quality issues.
• Handle customer complaints and provide CAPA to customers.
• Handle in-process issues jointly with Production and provide CAPA.
• Conduct MSA and CPK studies.
• Qualify new vendors and evaluate existing vendors.
• Support new product development and PPAP approval of vendor parts.
• Assist the Manager with daily operations and Production and Delivery plans.

Requirements

• B.E. or Diploma in Mechanical, Automobile, Electrical, or Electronics
• Ability to travel 20–30% of the time within India
• 2 years' experience in Sheet Metal Fabrication process
• Experience in New Product Development and ISO Documentation
• Knowledge of Engineering Drawings and Layout Inspection of Parts
• Hands-on experience handling ISO Documentation and updating Reports
• ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification is advantageous
• Six Sigma Certification is advantageous
