Job summary

ROKADE Group of Companies is seeking a Mechanical Engineer - Quality Control in Mumbai/Navi Mumbai to ensure quality, accuracy, and reliability of components and assemblies. You will inspect, test, document, and maintain quality standards throughout manufacturing processes.

The role requires 1–3 years of relevant experience, a Mechanical Engineering degree/diploma, and proficiency in measurement tools and documentation.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 1–3 years of experience in mechanical quality control.
• Knowledge of GD&T and reading engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management system is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials, machined components, fabricated parts, and finished products.
• Perform dimensional inspection using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, Dial Gauge, etc.
• Verify components against engineering drawings and quality standards.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports and quality records.
• Coordinate for corrective actions on defects and non-conformities.
• Support in-process and final inspections and CAPA activities.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer - Quality Control to ensure the quality, accuracy, and reliability of mechanical components, assemblies, and finished products. The candidate will be responsible for inspection, testing, documentation, and maintaining quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials, machined components, fabricated parts, and finished products.
• Perform dimensional inspection using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, Dial Gauge, etc.
• Verify components against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, quality records, and rejection reports.
• Identify defects, deviations, and non-conformities and coordinate for corrective actions.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections.
• Support root-cause analysis and implementation of Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Coordinate with Production, Design, Purchase, and Service teams to resolve quality issues.
• Ensure proper calibration and usage of measuring instruments.
• Maintain quality documentation and traceability of inspected components.
• Assist in improving inspection processes and reducing rejection/rework.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of mechanical measurements and inspection techniques.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, welding, and assembly.
• Familiarity with quality control procedures and documentation.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System is an advantage.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office/Excel.
