Job summary

Geekays Auto Components is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer with hands-on knowledge of QMS documentation and automotive quality systems. The candidate should manage PPAP, APQP, 8D, control plans, PFMEA, and MSA, while supporting NPD and quality improvement initiatives.

You will drive daily quality meetings, address customer complaints, and present customer quality reports. Strong GD&T and precision machining knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 QMS documentation and procedures.
• Hands-on experience with PPAP and APQP processes.
• Familiarity with 8D problem-solving methodology and PFMEA.
• Ability to analyse Pareto charts and quality data for improvement.
• Experience in customer handling and presenting quality reports.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and implement IATF 16949 QMS documentation and procedures.
• Handle PPAP, APQP, 8D Reports, Control Plans, PFMEA, MSA and related docs.
• Prepare and analyse Pareto charts and quality/rejection data.
• Lead daily quality meetings with Production and other departments.
• Address customer complaints, perform root cause analysis and CAPAs.
• Prepare customer quality reports and presentations.
• Support New Product Development (NPD) and ensure quality requirements.
• Monitor process quality in precision machining operations.
• Interpret GD&T drawings and inspection requirements.
• Coordinate with Production/Engineering for quality improvements.
• Assist internal, customer and certification audits.

Job Summary:

Geekays Auto Components is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer with strong knowledge of QMS documentation and automotive quality systems. The candidate should have hands-on experience in precision machining and be capable of handling customer quality requirements, new product development, and quality improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and implement IATF 16949 QMS documentation and quality procedures.
• Handle PPAP, APQP, 8D Reports, Control Plans, PFMEA, MSA and other quality-related documentation.
• Prepare and analyze Pareto Charts, quality reports, rejection reports and improvement data.
• Conduct and coordinate daily quality meetings with Production and other departments.
• Handle customer complaints, root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
• Prepare and present customer quality reports and presentations.
• Support New Product Development (NPD) activities and ensure quality requirements are met.
• Monitor and improve process quality in precision machining operations.
• Understand and interpret GD&T drawings, engineering specifications and inspection requirements.
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering and other departments for quality improvement.
• Monitor process and product quality to reduce rejection, rework and customer complaints.
• Support internal, customer and certification quality audits.
• Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and QMS procedures.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 QMS documentation.
• Good knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawings.
• Hands-on experience in PPAP and APQP.
• Good knowledge of 8D problem-solving methodology.
• Ability to prepare and analyze Pareto Charts and quality data.
• Experience in customer handling and customer presentations.
• Knowledge of precision machining processes is preferred.
• Good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Qualification:

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech Mechanical / Production / Automobile / related engineering discipline.

Experience:

510 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance, preferably in the automotive / precision machining industry.

Salary:

5.00 – 6.00 Lakhs per Annum, based on experience and skill set.
