Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Jamnagar is seeking a Mech. QA/QC professional to ensure compliance with codes and company requirements during IMIR clearance.

You will verify materials, test welds, and maintain PQRs for Structural, Tank and Piping works, and prepare welding procedures on site. Responsibilities include conducting NDT inspections, preparing inspection records, coordinating with customers for daily inspections, and overseeing hydrotest and piping test packages at the site.

Qualifications

• Experience in QA/QC for mechanical works in construction
• Knowledge of welding standards and inspection codes
• Ability to prepare ITPs and inspection records

• Verification of materials, MTCs and compliance with codes during IMIR clearance
• Welding procedure qualification tests and maintaining PQRs for Structural, Tank & Piping works

Job description

Mech. QA/QC

• Verification of materials, mill test certificates and confirming compliance to the code & company requirements during IMIR clearance.
• Conducting welding procedure qualification tests and maintaining procedure qualification records (PQR) for Structural, Tank & Piping works.
• Preparation of Welding Procedure Specification & conducting Procedure Qualification test at site per requirement.
• Verification of welding consumables BTCs & conduct necessary Qualification test at site.
• Preparation of Job procedure & ITP pertaining to Structural, Piping & Tank works.
• Periodical Site Internal Audits.
• Visually inspecting the fit up & welded joints of Structural, Tank & Piping works.
• Welding inspection (surveillance checks before ,during and after welding)
• Conducting all NDT inspections and preparation of all inspection records.
• Coordination with Customer for necessary day-to-day inspections.
• Piping test package preparation, review, and site verification and punching the pending activities.
• NDT Clearance of Piping Test packs
• Hydrotest witness of Tank & Piping system.
